Not Just for Final Fantasy VII FansStrengths: Solid Graphics, Easy to pick up for portable sessions Weakness: Lengthy load times, stubborn camera, can't skip cutscenes Crisis Core visits the events before Final Fantasy VII, and you're in control of Zack Fair, Cloud's big brother of sorts. The graphics are the best I've ever seen on a portable, and battle is intuitive and fun, especially with the slot/reel system. There are a lot of quick side missions to do, which is perfect for portable purposes. The camera can be a little stubborn at times, getting stuck...

Great Portable RPGStrengths: Graphics, Cutscenes, Music Weakness: Repetitive gameplay, Dialogue, Load times Crisis Core is a great game and a must have for the PSP. The graphics are very clean and the cutscenes are what you would expect from a Final Fantasy game. The music is also great and fits with whatever is happening in the game. Crisis Core uses real time fighting gameplay unlike most previous Final Fantasy games. However, you enter a different battle screen so you have to fight within the screen...

Great GameStrengths: Gameplay, Story, Visuals Weakness: None This game is one of the best games I have played on PSP. The storyline really has that nostalgic factor and brings back memories from FF7. Although at first it seems too easy, it gets challenging and gets you hooked to the story. It is simply a great prequel and should be bought whether you are a Final Fantasy fan or not.

Flashback and cue the expositionStrengths: Innovative DMW system, unbelievable FMV cutscenes, great storyline Weakness: There really were none Many of us gamers cut our teeth on Square's Final Fantasy VII when it came out on the Playstation. In fact, the existence of that game was the main reason I bought a playstation in the first place. Now, decades after the fact, Square has returned to its most successful franchise to fill in some of the story gaps in the original. Let me say right from the start that FF: Crisis Core is stunning....

FF:CCStrengths: graphics, music, cut scenes Weakness: long and deep, not much suited for short periods of play One of the best looking games on the PSP. It’s amazing what they’ve done with this title’s graphics and content. I’ve only just started the game and it’s been great so far. It’s not quite as “tough” as previous FF titles (less random battles/level grinding) which is fine with me. I’ve been turned of in the past with FF titles constant random battles and grinding. As I’ve...

A trip down memory lane.Strengths: Looks great. Good story. Good gameplay. Weakness: A little quirky. Crisis Core is a great game, but it has some quirks. The graphics look great and the story is a great throwback to the original Final Fantasy 7. The story is great, plenty of gameplay, good combat, and looks great. Overall, it's great, but I had a buddy who was turned off by some of the systems. There are some quirks to leveling and a few other things that some may not like. But I thought it was...

Awesome gameStrengths: amazing graphics for psp, fun gameplay Weakness: some randomness in the battles The long awaited return to the Final Fantasy 7 universe. It's what fans have been waiting for and this game doesn't disappoint. Rather than being a RPG this game takes on an action RPG format similar to the Kingdom Hearts series also from Square. You play as Zack, who is a character you meet earlier, making this game a prequel. The action is fast and in real time and you take on enemies face to...

FF: Crisis Core (PSP)Strengths: Story, gameplay Weakness: Repetition FF Crisis Core explores the major events that lead to FF VII. You play Zack Fair who is a young member of SOLDIER from Shinra and has to investigate the mystery of SOLDIER members gone missing during missions. The battle system used in the game is known as Digital Mind Wave. It has a slot machine like reels that continue to spin as long as there are Soldier Points to consume. When the reels line...

Final Fantasy: Crisis CoreStrengths: Graphics, Cinematic, Music, gameplay Weakness: Repetitive Final Fantasy: Crisis Core is a prequel to the popular Final Fantasy VII video game. It focuses on the story of the first-class soldier of Shinra named Zack that leads to the major events in FF:VII. This game is a action RPG with excellent, real-time battle system, which is a nice deviation from the traditional turn-based battle system found in other Final Fantasy games. Power ups and level ups...

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Ever since the title was first hinted of years ago, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has been the one title that PSP owners have been clamoring for. And rightly so, considering that the original Final Fantasy VII is still one of the most popular and beloved video games ever released. A true Final Fantasy game has finally arrived on the...
Strengths: Great graphics, cut scenes and traditional Final Fantasy Score.
Weakness: Mission Repetition, Action RPG gameplay instead of traditional FFVII turn based system.
Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core tells the back story of the characters that we have come to know and love from Final Fantasy VII. It is amazing what they were able to pull off graphically on the PSP in Crisis Core. Many might be disappointed with the Action RPG fighting style instead of Turn Based like original Final Fantasy VII but it does fit with the story and makes you feel like you have more...
