Aye aye, dood!

Strengths: Large replay value, great voice acting, engaging story

Weakness: Power leveling characters gets repetitive

This is a fabulous RPG all around. I've put 120 hours into it so far and there's still plenty to accomplish. First of all, there's a great storyline and the voice acting is fantastic. There are a plethora of classes to play, each with their own abilities and added to that, each monster is available to join your party once you defeat them. In addition to the main storyline, there are plenty of...

Definitive version of Disgaea

Strengths: Great translation to PSP. Extra content. Everything great about Disgaea

Weakness: If you're not into RPG's you won't like it. Otherwise it's great.

Afternoon of Darkness is a fantastic port of Disgaea. All of the original game is there. The greta gameplay, characters, leveling and hours after hour after hour of stuff to do. There's also a extras like new modes and the abilitym for multiplayer. It's an absolute classic and a must own.

I enjoy strategy rpgs, but they can be huge timesinks and maps can be fairly time consuming. On the psp, though, I can put the system into sleep mode and come back to the game if I need to take a break. And playing this type of game in...

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness

Don’t you just hate it when the overlord-wannabe sent to wake up your sleeping/comatose body accidentally kills you in the process? It’s almost death times two – first you’re asleep in a coffin, then alive, and then officially dead. Kind of like that new TV series, Pushing Daisies, but with sillier characters and crazier plotlines. My first experience with the Disgaea series occurred last...
