A Bright Spot for the DSStrengths: Five play modes. 17 Popular characters to start and several hidden players to unlock. Detailed graphics. Looks and feels like the anime. Pick up and play fighter. Weakness: Sprites are about 1/2 height of NDS screen. Repetitive character phrases. Would have preferred original Japanese voice actors as an option. Got hooked on the original Japanese version of the anime and the game "Bleach: The Blade of Fate" happily extends the fun and lets you join in on a very impressive portable 2D fighter. * I love that you get most of the Soul Society arc characters off the bat so you can jump right in with Ichigo and his friends to battle it out. Downside is it's going to be a while before I get to unlock all the...

Bleach: The Blade of FateStrengths: Bleach: The Blade of Fate is a solid fighting experience for newbies and veterans. Weakness: Single-cart play requires redownloading after each battle. Good fighting games are a rarity on portable systems. Bleach: The Blade of Fate is definitely one of the best fighting games. There are lots of characters to learn, the combat system is intuitive and deep, and the multiplayer is well suited to local and online connections. Fans of the show should not hesitate to pick it up, nor should fans of the fighting genre who want to trade blows somewhere...

Blade of FateStrengths: One of the best 2D fighters for DS, graphics and sound are impressive, online play Weakness: Small amount of special moves for some fighters, single player mode is pretty average Bleach: Blade of Fate is a traditional 2D style fighter based on the manga/anime series Bleach. Fans of the series will probably enjoy the game, but anyone unfamiliar with it should still get a lot out of the excellent gameplay. The game plays like most 2D fighters, with 2-4 players fighting it out on multi-tier stages based on locations in the series. The graphics are very nice for a handheld,...
