Dawn of the Dead [DVD Boxset] [Ultimate Edition]I liked this even better than "Night of the Living Dead", but it's not getting a perfect score from me for the mere fact that it should have been a HELL of a lot gorier than it was. It's a zombie movie, for cripesake. It IS an excellant movie, but it needed more red stuff. 4 and a half stars

Dawn Of The DeadStrengths: one of the best horror movies ever Weakness: none I think Dawn Of The Dead is one of the best horror movies I have ever watched. I think the special effects are excellent for the year it was made. I think this movie is George A. Romero's masterpiece!!! I highly recommend this movie to any horror movie fan.

I originally saw this movie in 1979. It was great. But now with this collection, you get to see some deleted scenes from the American theatrical release and also commentaries from the four main characters of the movie as well as George Romero himself.
