Way TOO Loud
Strengths: It's a normal HD, not that different from other good quality 7200 RPM 16BM cache HDs.
Weaknesses: LOUD, LOUD, LOUD.
Review:  It performs well but just not that much better than a good 16Mb cache 7200RPM hard drive. You would definitely be better off with 2x160GB 7200RPM HDs in RAID and it would be cheaper too. Regret purchasing because it is super loud. It screams like a dying pig. SiSoft Sandra benchs show that there are some 7200RPM HDs that out perform this drive and everything and anything in RAID kicks this...

Strengths: Fast Fast Fast and did I mention Fast. I have two of these hard drives and let me tell you if you want speed these are for you!
Weaknesses:  No weaknesses so far some people will say they run hot I disagree with the proper case (one with a 120mm fan in the front of where the hard drives...
Review: Overal I highly recomend these hard drives the reason I bought these was mainly because I have read in numerous places that the 2 74GBs are faster then 2 36Gbs. I had no problems installing these hard drives. I did install them in a new system however so I'm not sure if there would be difficulty installing one or two in an already running system.

Western Digital Raptor WD740ADFD 74GB 10K RPM
Strengths: It is fast and you can't go wrong with a 5 year warranty!!
Weaknesses: The price and is a tad bit louder than my old drive, but that can be expected from a 10K RPM drive.
Review: I bought this since my main HD died. I am basically going to use this as a main program drive/boot. It also helps that it has a 5 year warranty just in case. This raptor does wonders with my gaming rig. If you are going to use this for intense HD use (running multiple applications that needs to frequently access to the drive) this drive is for you.

Strengths: OS boots up quickly, games load up faster, thats about it sorry
Weaknesses:  Doesn't increase video rendering time even in RAID 0, for the price of two of these to put into a RAID config you'd be better off buying 1...
Review:  Yes i know, i know i'm going to catch hell for leaving a mediocre review for these raptors. If i could do it all over i again i can't see myself spending the money for two of these raptors for the "wonderful joys" of a RAID 0 array. I got these for the hopes of increasing my video editing performace amoung other minor things and it was a real let down. Especially seeing how...

Raptor X, the enthusiast\\\\\\\'s drive.
Strengths: Fast, no problems running two of these in Raid 0, looks tight in the right cases
Weaknesses: Expensive for the amount of space, Louder than most other sata hard drives.
Review: Raid 0 with these makes everything run very snappy. I would recommend them to enthusiasts and those seeking the best. There are a few cases out there that show these off like my Thermaltake does. There was still a little modding involved to get the window to be seen. Vibration dampening was a nice touch for these hard drives.
