ESPN NHL HockeyStrengths: Graphics, gameplay Weakness: Can't find much This is an excellent hockey game with realistic gameplay. The graphics are also near perfect, with great detail. Obviously 2k5 is a bit better, but for a discounted hockey game, you really can't go wrong here. Buy this one. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ESPN NHL Hockey XboxStrengths: Graphics, Gameplay, Online Play Weakness: D-men get back slowly, Roenick on the cover ESPN NHL Hockey is one of the most realistic, entertaining hockey games ever made. The graphics, sound, and commentary are all spot on. Online play is good although Roster updates would be nice as well as more options for online play. The game is dated now and the players have changed teams, but if you can pick it up cheap and need a hockey game to fill out your collection, you can't go wrong here. ESPN NHL Hockey 2K4 for the Microsoft XboxStrengths: + Awesome graphics + Great sound effects, commentary, etc. + Superb gameplay and online modes Weakness: - Not much weaknesses to be found in this game ESPN NHL Hockey 2K4 for the Microsoft Xbox is the latest in the NHL2K series, but with the new ESPN presentation (which is great). As most people can tell you, this series is simply the best hockey series around, and while this version is over a year old, it's worth picking up for cheap if you don't mind the roster suffering a bit. ESPN NHL Hockey XboxStrengths: Incredible gameplay; just like the NHL. The graphics, animation, and sound all make you feel like your in a game. Online play is awesome, too. Weakness: none The ESPN presentation makes this game feel like a true NHL event. The announcers, Gary Thorne and Bill Clement, are some of the best hockey announcers and make any hockey fan feel right at home. The games play out in realistic NHL fashion and the controls are very smooth. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ESPN NHL Hockey
Behind the glamour and glitz and marketing blitz of NFL and NBA games, professional sports’ “other” league, the NHL, has enjoyed a steady life on the home consoles. Back in the early days of the Sega Genesis, EA’s NHL series was widely considered the best game available. Times have changed since the days of the 16-bit machine, and with the new ESPN brand attached to their most recent... Top

ESPN NHL Hockey
Strengths: Great graphics, good commentary, lots of unlockables, all kinds of gameplay types
Weakness: Nothing
ESPN NHL Hockey is an excellent hockey game that is loaded with features. The graphics are really nice and you can recognize the players. The controls are responsive and easy to pick up. The level of customization is very deep and allows you to really adjust the game for beginners and experts. All the standard game types are here, from exhibition to season to franchise. The stats are very in depth and I like how you get tokens for completing certain achievements. These tokens are then used to unlock classic teams, throwback uniforms, and other extras.
Although the rosters are a bit old now, the gameplay still holds up well with the recent hockey games. This is definitely a game worth checking out if you are looking for a hockey game.
