Bloody RoarStrengths: Fighting game with good controls Weakness: Just like all the others. This is definitely an interesting fighting title. It is similar to just about all the other fighting titles out there with one major change- you can transform into an animal mid-fight. The animal transformation is kind of neat but not all that useful. The rest of the game is your standard fighting game with poor background graphics and okay music. If you enjoy fighter games, pick this one up and give it a try. You might be a bit more entertained than I was, but I wouldn't expect too much out of it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Bloody Roar 4Strengths: Fun fighting title, cool animal transformations Weakness: Not as good as some others Bloody Roar 4 is much like any other fighting title out there (Tekken, Street Fighter, etc). Each fighting title has its own gimmick. The gimmick in Bloody Roar is that your fighters can transform into animals that can do massive damage to the opponent if used correctly. While this definitely makes the bloody roar series fun to play, this 4th installment in the series does little to improve upon the previous installment. There are a couple added characters and new environments, but really... that's about it. Everything else is pretty good. The response time is good, the music is good, and the graphics are fluid. Bloody Roar 4
There's nothing like a good fighting game to get your adrenaline running, and Hudson, with its ongoing Bloody Roar series, definitely had a good start of things back in the late 1990s. After the quiet arcade release in the US, the animal transformation fighter never truly progressed enough to lead the changing fighters of the time, and despite the growing number of combos and added animals to... Bloody Roar 4
The Bloody Roar series has been out since 1997, and it has always fascinated me. I liked the fact that while you are in the middle of a battle you could morph to a more powerful creature and it could help turn the tide of the battle. The problem with the series is that it was never deep in the game-play department. The previous games always became the fighting games that you gave your younger... Top

Bloody Roar 4
There's an embarrassment of riches for fight game-loving PS2 owners. Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and Soul Calibur II pack enough punch to keep thumbs bleeding until the release of the PS3. But to quote Charles Dickens from his 1859 review of Activision's survival-horror romp A Tale of Two Cities, It was the best of times and it was the worst of times. While there's no shortage of superb fighters,... Top

bloody simple fun
Strengths: Cool beast transformations
Weakness: simplistic gameplay
This is a really fun game as long as you don't expect too much of it. Street Fighter Alpha 3/ Virtua Fighter 4 this is not. This game is pure button masher, but I find button mashers just as fun as a technical fighter, so I liked this game a lot. I also really, really like the idea that each character can turn into a more powerful beast form (mole, tiger, wolf, and...er, rabbit!)
Pick it up cheap if you can
