Blood Money

Strengths: Great game, new ways to kill, new plot line

Weakness: Almost too difficult at times

Anyone who's played one of the hitman games before knows the basc premise behind the game already. You're put into a situation and you need to accomplish a certain goal without being detected. Using your assassin skills you get to kill unsupecting victims in several different ways. The new Blood Money version allows you to take this to a new level. No longer do people come across dead bodies and immediately know it was an assassination. Now you can make it look like it was an accident (those boxes must have fallen over and crushed him). Also, there are several new weapons/items added to your collection that are pretty useful.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to any fan of the series. If you've never played a hitman game before, I'd recommend picking up an earlier title first to get the hang of the game before trying this one.

Blood Money

Strengths: Fun gameplay and several additions

Weakness: A little short

Blood Money is the newest game in the Hitman franchise. This game is a lot of fun and better than the previous installment (Contracts). There are more weapons, better ways of killing people, and new ways to interact with things. Sure, the game is a little on the short side, but if you want to go for the Silent Assassin rank, you'll find yourself playing the game a few times. The premise of the game is the same as the previous installments, in that you are given an objective and must try to complete it as stealthily as possible.

If you have a 360, I recommend getting it on that system, as it has the benefit of trying to accomplish the achievements as well. However, since most of us do not have that luxury, I would definitely recommend picking this up.

Neat idea but technology not up to it?

Strengths: Cool concept of being a hitman

Weakness: the FPS style controls can be confusing to some, AI is spotty

Hitman Blood Money is the best in the series but it still lacks in execution. The stealth gameplay isn't the best (nor as technical as Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid) and the action/shooting isn't all that exciting either.

And although the developers create a serious tone in the cutscenes and story, when you start playing all that atmosphere kind of disappears partly because of the low level/unrealistic AI. It's missing some tension because if you make a mistake, you can just run and hide and the bad guys will search around but then just give up looking.

A Hit and a Miss

Strengths: Great movie-like opening. Graphics are nice. You get to kill.

Weakness: Controls take time to get used to.

I read reviews that this was the best in the series and decided to get the game out of curiosity. It's OK.

Popped the disc in and the opening sequence was impressive. Just like watching a movie in fact. Music was perfect too. It got me interested until I had to move the guy and figure how to make kills. I kept dying slow bloody deaths. It's hard get used to the controls and having to figure things out. You've got to have patience - which I don't.

Good for those who like first person shooters (though Hitman isn't FPS) and strategy kills.

Being a Hitman isn't as fun as it sounds

Strengths: Large levels, lots of ways to kill

Weakness: Requires lots of patience

If you liked the previous Hitman games you'll definitely enjoy Blood Money. If you're like me and haven't played the others I say try the older, cheaper ones first.

The Hitman series has always been about sneaking your way through open, free roaming environments to complete your missions/assignments and Blood Money doesn't stray from that path. The thing is that I find it requires more patience and if you're a beginner you're prone to make mistakes and get spotted. This makes the game much harder and possibly frustrating than other stealth games like Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid.

But other than the pacing, there isn't anything wrong with the game.

Hitman Blood Money

Agent 47 is back and this latest video-game chapter is perfect for late-evening gaming. Why late evening? Because it's summertime kids, get out there and enjoy the sun, play some volleyball, get a tan, enjoy the outdoors! Because when the day is over, then it's time to get down to business, the killing business that is and for Agent 47, business is good, maybe a little too good. Following up with...
