Doom 3, Next Generation Gaming Engine

Strengths: Fun, engaging, awesome graphics

Weakness: Multiplayer is lackluster, repetitive after a time

This game was a breakthrough in PC graphics when it came out, and continues to be a great game. The single player portion of the game is unmatched, although the AI is a little on the unintelligent side. The graphics are nothing short of spectacular; you definitely need a powerful machine to do the game justice. The multiplayer, though, is pretty poor. All in all, I recommend this game.

Pitch-black scenes. Fluid, frightening villains. Not enough help. Peter Cohen takes a look at the dark, dangerous world of the gaming juggernaut. Brace yourself.
