Tekken 5

Strengths: Kicking people butt

Weakness: no online play

When I bought Tekken 5 I was a little worried that it would be like Tekken 4. I was wrong. Kicking people butt never look sweeter on the PS2. Everything I like about fighting game is in this game, execpt online.

stil this a must buy, I'll give it a
9.5 out of 10

A Fist Full of Tekken

Strengths: The epitome of fighting games.

Weakness: No Multiplayer.

If you're looking for a fighting game that you and yoru buddies can sit around for hours with, this is it. It has great graphics, balanced fighters, and devastating moves. You can go the single player route, which is competent, or face off against other players.

Really, that's where the game shines. I know thee's no multiplayer. But there are a ton of game modes both in and out of the game. For example, you could place small wagers on your Tekken matches. Or the drinking mode where you have to drink a shot after every defeat is cool too.

Ultimately, you can't go wrong with Tekken 5

Tekken 5

Strengths: if your a Tekken Series fan, Tekken 5 will make you stand up and cheer. The old formula that made the series so great is back. While the team developing Tekken had gone off the beaten path in its last version, this version brings the series back to what

Weakness: Still wish they had more breakable environments other than that, there is little to complain about

Tekken 5 has brought back the series to where it once was. Its fun without the complicated moves of the previous version. The standard characters are back and the various fighting areas are very cool. Tekken 5 is Soul Calibur III without the weapons. Each character has a unique fighting style that you will have to learn. This is a great party game as well and even non-gamers will love to play this even if they are just button mashing. While it lacks the multiple levels of DoA, or the destructable environments like MK: Deception it is a solid, solid fighting game that reminds you of the arcade Tekken -- Fans of the series and new gamers to the series will both love this game. It takes 5 minutes to learn but a very long time to master which makes this a very fun game to play.

Tekken 5

Every fighting game takes a fall. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, all of them. Some recover through massive changes, others don't recover at all. Fear of repetition, coupled with the demands of this highly competitive genre make it difficult for developers to stay in the same place. Tekken took its fall with number four. I hate to bring up the past, but if you rented or purchased...

Tekken 5 (ps2)

Remember Tekken? Just kidding. It's had some hard times, though. A few years back it was Namco's premier fighting series, until an upstart scamp called Soul Calibur snuck in and usurped the throne. Tekken's fate was further compounded by a disappointing fourth chapter, which left many wondering if the series was out of gas. As it turns out, Tekken 4 was just a temporary pit stop. I'm glad to...

Tekken 5 (ps2)

I really liked Tekken 4. It took the popular King of Iron Fist series to an interesting place by successfully borrowing ideas from competitors like Dead or Alive 2 and Virtua Fighter 4 and adding its own unique touch. It presented a legitimate revamping of a series that had remained relatively unchanged for close to seven years and brought such novel additions as uneven surfaces, strategic wall...
