Great addition to the Wii libraryStrengths: co-op, two player and online play Weakness: motion controls are not fun It is a shame not many people bought this, because it is one of the few online wii games, and the puzzle genre plays well online. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

octomaniaStrengths: puzzle gameplay, nice visuals, online Weakness: characters/voices could be annoying As a budget title shovelware this game is entertaining. The puzzle gameplay is different enough from others that it is still fun to play. The visuals are nice with bright colors. Online gameplay adds to the competitiveness and keeps the replay value going. The only problem I see is the characters voices could annoy people. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Should of been a DS Game, but not the worst on wiiStrengths: Cute anime graphics. Multi player. Weakness: BAD Voice acting. Silly story. Not much to keep you unless you fall in love with it. This is a puzzle game where you are collecting octi on a grill. Once you get the number of them, that is listed on the grill, they turn to smoke. And you can chain more of the same color to drop the bad ones on your opponent. Once the screen completly fills you loose. I'd say this would be a GREAT DS game. Or even Wii Ware game. it feels like they took a simple idea or game and added all the fluff to it, to justify it. But for the low price I am happy with it. It is a better puzzle game than most at similar price. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A decent Wii puzzler that you won't play for long...Strengths: Cute art-style, decent puzzler. Weakness: Little replayability, bad voice-acting. Octomania is fun for a while, but the gameplay is ultimately too shallow to give you much in terms of replayability. The visuals are cute and nicely done on the Wii, and the gameplay (which involves sorting octopi on a grill of all things) is straightforward and fun for a while. Unfortunately, a lack of game modes ends-up making the experience much more short-lived than it ought to be. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Octomania
Since 1989, handhelds have ruled the puzzle game market. You might have expected that to change with Wii and PS3's motion-sensing controllers, which could open the door for some very unique puzzle experiences. But that hasn't been the reality, as developers have allowed Nintendo DS and PSP to hog all the fun. Octomania is one of the few puzzlers that won't be making its way to a handheld (not yet... Top

Octomania
Strengths: Bright, colorful Japanese puzzle game, quirky characters, budget price
Weakness: Gameplay lacks depth
Octomania is a purely Japanese-style puzzle game. The game is full of cartoon anime characters, Japanese pop music, and quirky voice acting. The game is essentially a puzzle game, like so many others, in the mold of Tetris. In this case though you are trying to clear octopi off your game board. You do this by lining them up (via rotation) with grills thus frying them and clearing them from the board - the larger an area you clear the higher your combo score. You can play against the computer or another human opponent. In this case you send sea urchins to the other players board and they get in the way of the other player's combos.
It isn't the deepest puzzle game out there but it is some decent family fun and a good diversion from more serious games. The game does have an online component which is a nice touch on a budget game like this ($20 retail but can often be found cheaper).
