X-Men Next Dimension (Gamecube)

Strengths: X-Men goodnessm, cool levels

Weakness: Buggy levels, difficult controls

I picked up this game for two reasons: It was cheap and it had X-Men on the cover. I played around with it for a while, and it is neat to fool with. Watching your favorite characters do their thing is neat. However the first time I got stuck on the 'wrong' side of a wall in Professor X's mansion I knew this game was going on my shelf, to be pulled down when I wanted a break from Soul Calibur II. If you really want to dedicate yourself to this game it could probably be good, but there are already better and more balanced fighting games out there.

If you like X-Men and can find this game for a good price, pick it up. If you get frustrated with clunky fighting game controls and and super-smart AI then give it a pass.

Did you find it helpful or unhelpful?

As a result, it is no surprise then that Paradox passed the GameCube development duties onto EXAKT -- after all, Paradox wanted to focus on the Xbox and PS2 versions of X-Men: Next Dimension. What is surprising...
