Tyson Heavyweight Boxing Xbox
Strengths: Has famous boxers in the game
Weakness: Gameplay is boring Game is overall lackluster
After the great Mike Tyson's Punch Out on the Nintendo Entertainment System, it was only a matter of time until there would be a new Mike Tyson game. Unfortunately, Mike Tyson's Heavyweight Boxing is nowhere near as great as the Nintendo Entertainment System classic.
The graphics are poor quality with plain backgrounds (crowds) and the boxers themselves lack detail.
Commentary is very important in any sports game and the commentary in Mike Tyson's Tyson Heavyweight Boxing can only be described is minimal. Sure, commentary is there in the game but the announcers don't have much of a vocabulary and you will hear lots of repeated phrases over and over again.
The gameplay itself is very repetitive and boring. Throw the same few punches over and over again until you knock out your opponent. The game is fun for about 15 minutes and after that, you will want to put the controller down for good.
The only good thing about the game is that real boxers are represented in the game. I would only reccomend this game if you have to own every boxing game released.
