Dr. Mc SequalStrengths: Coop play! Weakness: much harder than the 1st the sequel has a chock-full of minigame collections. The only downside to all of this is that some of the surgeries are extremely long and sensitive. Those issues aside, it's fun and rewarding to figure out things for yourself. For instance, an operation on a burn victim is horribly frustrating at first, but becomes rewarding once you figure out how to grow skin grafts, place them in the right spots, drain the blood, and boost the patients vitals in the right order. New BloodStrengths: Nice update for Wii, Fun multi-player play Weakness: Storyline drags, Difficult at times This is a pretty fun game for the Wii. The procedures one must perform to save a patient are interesting and at times very difficult to accomplish in time for one player. The storyline in-between procedures grows tiresome. They could have reduced or eliminated that part of the game in many cases. Overall, this is a good game for most ages except the really young ones it will be too difficult. Play with a friend and it really shines. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Interesting InitiallyStrengths: Great idea for a game, fun initially Weakness: Weak graphics, tiresome dialogue, novelty wears off quickly The game kept me interested initially until it became redundant. Easy mode is not as difficult as others may think. You simply have to work fast. The graphics are weak. The acting parts in between levels are on the long side. If you are a person who likes a challenging game, this is not a bad start but it gets boring with continued play. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Something DifferentStrengths: Gameplay, voice acting, co-op mode, online leaderboards Weakness: Visuals New Blood is a fantastic follow up to Second Opinion and feels like a much better game over all. It features the unique gameplay of the first game that requires fast reflexes and precision, but the presentation is much improved thanks to wonderful voice acting. Since the game has a lot of text, the voice acting goes a long way. The new co-op mode can be great fun, and the online leaderboards can really extend the gameplay if you're the type who loves to compete for high scores. If you liked the first game or are just interested in something original and challenging, give this game a shot. You won't regret it! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

New BloodStrengths: Co-op adds a fun dimension to game play. Weakness: Basically similar premise to previous version. If you haven't played the original version of this game for the Wii, this is the one to get. It's more in depth than the first version with new features such as co-op mode, on-line ranking and 16:9 (wide screen) game play. Also, the difficulty in this version has been increased. A very unique title for the Wii and highly recommended! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Four Hands Are Better Than TwoStrengths: New Co-Op mode and Online Ranking system Weakness: Instructions not as clear as they could be. For the first time, you and a friend can play cooperatively as two different surgeons, working together to save lives. Trauma Center: New Blood storyline takes you from the wilds of Alaska to the urban jungle of Los Angeles and beyond. Having a second surgeon on hand to perform routine tasks like draining blood from hemorrhaging wounds and keeping the patients' vital signs up quickens the pace of the gameplay and makes New Blood a much more social gaming experience. It's a good thing that New Blood's cooperative play mode is as fun as it is, because it quickly becomes almost impossible to complete operations single-handedly on any difficulty. Trauma Center: New Blood makes excellent use of all the major Wii features, the game's a perfectly worthy sequel, and it's a worthwhile title for any Wii owner who wants a bit of a challenge. Trauma Center: New BloodStrengths: New co-op mode, good story Weakness: none It is one of my favorite game. I like it even more than the previous edition (Trauma Center: Second Option). The new co-op mode is a big improvement and is harder than previous one. You'' have a lot of fun with it. I highly recommend it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Wants a second set of hands, stat!Strengths: Improces upon predecessor. New co-op mode. Better sory. Weakness: Hrder than the first. Some missions feel like you need two people. Trauma Center New Blood is a good sequel. it improves on the first trauma center in a lot of ways. Minor grpaphical update, better story, new variety of surgeries. But it's also harder. They added a new co-op mode which is great with a freind. But some missions seem designed for two players. So the difficulty dioesn't scale well based on the number of players. But it's a good game, adn highly recommended if you have a dedicatedfriend to help. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Trauma Center: New Blood (Wii)Strengths: New Co-Op mode, Online Ranking system Weakness: None If you liked the previous game "Second Opinion", you should definitely get this game. It has a new set of characters and storyline. It might be confusing in the beginning about the controls but you should get the hang of it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great GameStrengths: The Co-op mode is an amazing addition to the game, if there was a reason to buy this game it would be the co-op mode Weakness: The story sections tend to run a little bit too long The game play is very similar to the first version of this game (Trauma Center: Second Option), but the Co-op mode is what makes this game. They definitely stepped up the difficulty of the game, I had a hard time with a few of the levels on easy, but I guess that adds to the replay value. With the new online feature you'll know where you are ranked among the world. Only problem with this game is that the story gets to be a little long at times and sometimes last longer than the surgery part itself. Overall its a fun game, and I would have to say that it is definitely better than the first version. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Trauma Center: New Blood
Almost a year ago, I had the chance to play Trauma Center: Second Opinion on the Nintendo Wii and show it off on the big screen to anyone that I could. Basically, being a remake of the Nintendo DS version of Trauma Center, Second Opinion was able to draw in a whole new crowd that particularly plays console games rather than handheld games. Now, a year later, Atlus is ready to present its second... Top

Two Player Fun, One Player Misery
Strengths: +Two player Co-op +It's a new Trauma Center! +Voices
Weakness: -Not an easy game, especially during solo play
Trauma Center: Under the Knife quickly gained a cult following after its release on the DS. It was then ported to the Wii as "Second Opinion." This time, however, is a brand new game. Taking place 10 years after the original, the game focuses on two doctors in Alaska: Markus Vaughn and Valeria Blaylock. Story, graphic, control-wise it is not much different from Second Opinion. Of course, a new threat emerges. Bodies are a mix of the realistic and the tame. The game is divided into surgical mission, where you must complete an operation within a certain time period to pass. Both doctors have the Healing Touch, where upon use grants you a special effect to help you complete the mission. But finally there are voices! You move your tools with the Wiimote and choose your tool with the nunchuck. (You can play without the nunchuck, but not recommended.) Just as Second Opinion changed some of the tools found in Under the Knife, New Blood changes tools from Second Opinion slightly.
Basically, this game has the same flaw the original Pokemon games had: You're punished for not having video game playing friends. This game is basically made for having 2 players, unlike the solo gameplay of its prequel. I admit I'm not very good at these sort of games, as I encountered difficulty in Under the Knife and had several problems in Second Opinion, even on easy. But the game doesn't seem to give the single player any breaks. At times I wish I could just recruit somebody off the street and say "here, keep pumping vitals and let me do the rest." Atlus included the option of comparing your score to other players, but strangely neglects separating easy, normal, hard scores.
Overall, if you really enjoyed Second Opinion, it's hard to hate this game. Like most good sequels, it keeps the same basic formula and improves it without derailing what made it good in the first place. New users can probably find a copy of Second Opinion cheaper (current MSRP: $30) and get the same type of experience before or instead of the current $50 MRSP for New Blood. If you're never going to have anybody to play with anyway, you might as well go with Second Opinion. 3 1/2 stars.
