Uncharted Review

Strengths: Story telling, graphics

Weakness: Gunplay

Uncharted features one of the most well told stories in recent video game history. The cutscenes are very well done and you would almost think you were watching a movie it is so good. Naughty Dog did an excellent job on the presentation in this game, the graphics are great besides a little hint of tearing, but that is nothing that should distract you from enjoying it. The shooting isn't the great I have seen, it works, but could stand to be a little refined. Overall, Uncharted is a very good game that everyone should try.

Best PS3 Title available on the market

Strengths: Graphics; Gameplay; Story; Extras

Weakness: None

Uncharted is brought to you by Naughty Dog, the same folks who did the Classic Jak and Daxter Titles. They really break the mold with this title; it's solid all around. They clearly applied their extensive experience on the PS2 with the Jak Titles - but they bring a whole bunch more.

It's almost as though they took the PS3 as their personal playground and designed a game that would play perfectly on the PS3 -- and they hit it solidly.

Everything about this game is fantastic -- trust me, if you only pick up one title for your PS3, this should be it.

The game looks beautiful graphics wise, and controls are tight. Funny jokes now n then. It defiant buy after u played the demo on playstation store.

Best Game

Strengths: Story, Acting, Voice-over (Sulley is funny), Graphics

Weakness: Camera angle limited at times.

My boyfriend and I just spent the weekend playing this game. By far, it has become one of my most games. It\\\'s addictive and sometimes you get lost because it feels like a flippin\\\' movie. Someone mentioned Indian Jones....and that\\\'s the best way to describe the type of movie it would be. Great storyline...I love this game.

Pretty Amazing Game

Strengths: Great storyline and graphics

Weakness: Controls could be a bit better

This game plays just like a movie. Great story and wonderful visual effects. The controls could be a bit better, but the game provides lots of fun and excitement. Too bad it is so short.

Great exclusive game for the PS3

Strengths: Gameplay, graphics, and story are all excellent.

Weakness: Sometimes you cannot move the camera view.

This game is one of, if not the best game out right now for the PS3. It has a great story that keeps you wanting to play to find out what happens next. There is also a good mix of platforming, puzzle solving, and shooting. The graphics are also excellent. Trying to gather all the treasures and get the skill points to unlock bonus content gives the game some amount of replay value as well. This is a great single player game, so please do not listen to those who complain about the lack of multiplayer. Not all games need multiplayer.

Uncharted Review...Amazing Graphics

Strengths: beautiful graphics, great story, gives hints if you get a little confused, keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Weakness: the freaky monsters u have to kill.. lol

Awesome Game. beautiful beautiful scenery. its taken me longer to play because im so busy just looking around. the whole game is amazing from start to finish. the guys in the game u are up against are great. they will actually sneak around you or hide and pop up on you. its nice to play a game where you arent just shooting and going and shooting and going (like Rainbow Vegas). its fun to find the hidden treasures. Drake has a great sense of humor and even the enemies have thier own characteristics. A must have game.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3)

Strengths: Amazing graphics, fantastic storyline, great voice acting, non-stop action

Weakness: None apparent

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a 3rd person action game for the PS3. It brings amazingly well-done graphics, voice acting and sounds in with a fantastic storyline and great action from beginning to end. It brings a well-written story with great platforming, 3rd person shooting and puzzle solving, all with good controls and gameplay. There's no multiplayer in the game, though with the medal system for in-game performance, there's some replay value with trying to get the top awards in all areas of the game. This one is a must-have for the PS3.

The best PS3-exclusive title out right now

Strengths: Very good story, likeable characters, well acted, beautiful graphics/scenery, A.I. is pretty good, very fun

Weakness: Short, no online multiplayer (in fact, no multiplayer at all)

What do you get when you mix aspects from Indiana Jones (exploration) with Romancing the Stone (the give and take chemistry between characters) with Heavenly Sword (almost cinematic production values, like playing a movie) with Gears of War (3rd and 1st person gunplay and cover system) with Tomb Raiders (platforming)? You get Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, hopefully the first of many in a series of Uncharted games. This game takes the best aspects of many genres and makes something even greater out of them. It's not cutting edge, but has some doubletake moments, starting with the beautiful luscious scenery when bleak desolation seems to be the trend these days to the way Nathan Drake's clothes get wet when you go partially or fully into water. The shooting and cover system feel a lot like Gears of War (on the 360), but you're fighting realistic enemies (i.e., humans) in natural settings and lighting and your character/hero looks like Joe Everyman instead of like the incredible Hulk on steroids. The hand to hand combat is nothing spectacular but is way better and more robust than Gears of War's and other FPS's (which consist of some variation of an insta-kill chainsaw, butt of a weapon or flying fist graphic). Unlike games like COD4 (also very good), which aim for a lot of realism, Uncharted tickles the imagination with a storyline of looking for lost treasures. The story is well written and the characters are developed well and have personalities and charm, so you actually grow to like them rather than see them as the generic placeholders that they are in many other games. The A.I. is better than average for these types of shooters. The game is short though, probably running the average gamer between 10 and 12 hours. However, I'd say it's compelling enough that the average person probably wouldn't mind playing through it twice (or more) to try to find more of the treasures. There are no other modes to play through other than the story...no co-op or versus or online multiplayer, unfortunately. Still, this is a terrific game, especially for a brand new series, and I hope there are plenty more to come if they meet the quality of this one. If you own a PS3, this is definitely a game you need to get right now. It really shows off the system. I've played Heavenly Sword and Ratchet & Clank and many other PS3-exclusive titles, and, while those were great games as well, I believe Uncharted is still a notch-above. If you've played any of those others (Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank), you know that's one heckuva compliment.

The first real gem for the PS3

Strengths: Story, Best console graphics to date.

Weakness: Control needs a little tweaking

Finally, I now have a game for my PS3 to play, and its a doozy. Uncharted plays exactly like a movie, with twists and turns to boot. The graphics are absolutely sick, making this a must play for those of you starved for PS3 games.

uncharted

Strengths: good story, stunning graphics

Weakness: too short, no online play

Currently playing this game and im enjoying every minute of it. It’s a good mixture of puzzle/shooter/platformer and reminds me a lot of tomb raider, a game I really enjoyed. The game might be too short for some people, but there is a reward system that unlocks certain extras which adds some replay value. I haven’t beat it yet, but I’ve read the game could be beat in about 8 hours. The ps3 doesn’t have too many exclusives right now, but im happy uncharted is one of them. This game is definitely recommended.

Strengths: It has 1080p support!

Weakness: No Weaknesses.

When I first played this on Demo, I really like the storyline and gameplay. Then I bought this game with discount. This game does have 1080p support than any other games. I really enjoy this game and this is a must have!

Uncharted Rules

Strengths: Graphics, Voice Acting, Music, Cover fire gameplay, Story

Weakness: No multiplayer, Same batch of enemies

Uncharted is a fantastic game. The presentation makes you feel like you're in an Indiana Jones movie. The voice acting is superb, especially of the 2 main characters. I like that they used the cover fire system similar to Gears of War. The platforming parts are also fun especially when Drake makes a giant jump. So far, I've encountered the same enemy models over and over again (maybe 6-7 different models) which can get repetitive. There is also no multiplayer which is unfortunate as well. However, there story is very engaging and Nathan Drake is an awesome protagonist, so I will be excited for the Drake franchise in general.

This games the truth

Strengths: Got that "it" factor. U just get addicted quick no matter what kinda games u like.

Weakness: Sometimes the camera isn't lookin where ud want. But it aint that bad at all. At all

This game lives up to the commercial's. I was watchin it on tv then I went it rented it but I just took it back and bought it. This games fun as hell. Easy to manuever yet challenging. Its kinda like ninja gaiden with guns. U can climb stuff then pull out the a.k. Or the fighting skills are sick too. Hella good story line and what can I say bout the graphics. Looks like the commercial like I said. Saucey game. I'd buy part two fa sho. Best ps3 game other than sports cuz that's my style but. Other than some madden. This games the truth-go cop that.100-

THE BEST PS3 GAME!!

Strengths: How good could a story in a game get? You are looking at it! Personally, I have never enjoyed story in a game(except God of War and II) until I've play through Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Weakness: Graphical glitches from time to time, graphic could've been better. For example, explosion looked so unnatural.

You want a strong story driven game with a lot of action, platforming, and puzzle solving? Get Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and it can't get any better than this for now. It was so addictive, I was hooked for three days;I just loved the story, couldn't let go of the controller~! I do have few complaints though. I got stuck a lot at the places where you have to solve puzzles because there weren't enough hints for them. My least complaints are graphics or maybe I'm just too picky. In cut-scenes, character's hair just stayed even when they were turning, walking around and so on(and this is suppose to be next gen game). And explosion effects. All I want to say is I've seen better.

Anyway, this game is the only PS3 game I've enjoyed so far and I must applaud Naughty Dog for their effort they have put into this game. Do not rent it! I repeat, do not rent it but BUY IT!
