Spider-Man 2

Strengths: graphics

Weakness: repetitive, no in level saving.

I hated the fact that i had to keep starting from the beginning of a level every time I lost a life. There are no checkpoints at all in this game and it only saves when you complete a level. I don't know how many times i have gotten to the end of a level and my time ran out because i missed rescuing one person and lost a live.
After completing 6 levels, I got tired of that crap and quit playing this game and will not even pick it up again!

Spider-Man 2 DS

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Touch Screen is useless, Lack of Level Saves

Spider-Man 2 DS is basically a side scrolling game which you get to look for bad guys and beat them up and save helpless civillians. Web swinging is nowhere near as fun as it is in the console version. While there's nothing technically wrong with the game, its rather difficult at times, very repitive in the tasks, and just not that much fun. Personally I'd save the dough unless you can get it under $10. Anymore than that, you'd be better off saving your money.

Spider-Man 2

Strengths: Pretty Good Graphics

Weakness: Extremely Difficult

Spider-Man 2 turns out to be nothing like its big-brothers on the home consoles, and goes the path of a basic side-scroller. One problem with this is that the game becomes so frustrating right from the begining (save the people in the burning building in under 4 minutes), that I was never able to progress further than 5 minutes into the game. It just made me not want to play any longer. Stick to the PSP version if you want a portable version of Spider-Man 2.

Can Spidey Do It?

Strengths: Good graphics and fluid animation

Weakness: Level design sucks

This game is pretty sort. There are 15 levels that you can finish in about 15 minutes each. The levels are rather hard though. If there's something wrong in this game, it's the level design and gameplay. They simply just didn't try too hard with this. If you love spidey and can find this cheap, give it a shot. All others, think about it first. Who knows, you may like it anyway.

Spider-Man 2 (DS)

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Lack of touch screen, horrible controls

Spider-Man 2 is a very mediocre game for the Nintendo DS. It has horrible controls and is rather difficult to play. It's tedious and repetitive in that you don't have a checkpoint or game save in the middle of a level, and if you fail, you have to start from the beginning the level all over again.

The graphics are excellent, even in 2D. It's sharp and detailed. However, it still can't help the poor gameplay.

I only recommend the console version of this game, which is far more better in terms of graphics and gameplay. If you want it on a portable platform, get the PSP version.

Spider-Man 2 for DS

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Weak gameplay, repetitive

Spider-Man 2 for Nintendo DS is nothing comparing to the console version of the same game. It is essentially a side-scrolling game with spidey fighting bad guys and saving people. The game is repetitive and tedious.

The only saving grace for this game is the graphics. It is very good, shape and detailed.

If you are looking for a portable version of Spider-Man 2, steer clear of the DS version and go for the PSP version. If you don't need the portability, go for the console version, which is a much, much better game.

Spiderman-Man 2 DS

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Horrible Controls, No real use for DS pad, Repetative gameplay

Spider-Man 2 DS is the official game of the movie. Overall the game is not very good. It is the worst verson of Spider-Man 2. The controls are horrible, the levels are repetative, and the game is boring. I wouldn't recommend this game unless you can find it very cheap.

Spider Man 2 DS

Strengths: Graphics are excellent

Weakness: Size of the level

I wasn't a fan of this one at all really. The graphics are great, and it's pretty fun for the first 20 minutes, then you realize how long the game is actually going to take. It is ridiculously tedious, the levels are huge and you just search for bad guys to beat up. Not worth it in my opinion.

Spider-Man 2

Strengths: Good Graphics

Weakness: Poor Gameplay, Tedious

As my first DS game, it deserves a review just like the rest of them, however it certainly isn't my favorite. In fact, I found this game to be so boring that I could only beat one level every few weeks. They aren't even truly linear, so since most of the levels have a limited timer of some sort if you miss one bad guy you'll have to back track every where you've gone playing hide and seek for one maybe two opponents.

The controls are really simple and the graphics are excellent, however none of this can make up for the lack of content in the game. It is simply running around searching for bad guys while trying to beat a time limit. To simplify any description I can give, it's only a violent version of the Sega Genesis childrens game "Barney's Hide and Seek," and honestly I had more fun with that game than I do with this game. The levels in this game are too large and the enemies are too spread out to be effective.

If you're looking for a good platform game, I suggest looking into the already excellent set of games on the GBA.

Spider-Man 2

Strengths: Good graphics

Weakness: Tedious gameplay

Spiderman 2 is an action platform game. Each level has different objectives to complete such as rescuing people in a burning building or defeating the enemies scattered throughout the level.

The graphics are sharp and detailed. All of the gameplay is 2D but the environments even in 2D really are vibrant.

The game itself is very tedious. If you lose all of your power in a level, you have to start the entire level all over again even if you are 90% done with the level. The controls are also poor with the touch screen used for special attacks. It's a bad setup using the directional pad to move and then have to go to the touch screen to pull up the special attacks.

I would only consider Spiderman 2 if you need to own every Spiderman game released.

Spider-Man 2

Ah, Nintendo DS, you haven’t been out that long and already you’re bringing us great joy via a cartridge the size of a stamp (Super Mario 64 DS, how I love thee). Among the launch titles is Activision’s Spider-Man 2, a game that loosely follows the plot of the blockbuster sequel and adds many of the elements found in the Game Boy Advance version so this one is in no way a portable version...

Spider-Man 2 (ds)

One of the biggest and best movies this year was Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2. Starring our favorite web-slinger, Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man, the film featured the crazed multi-limbed Doc Ock, the sexy Mary Jane Watson and a few other Spider-Man staples. The film has been the inspiration for a number of video games already this year, but now it's the turn of Nintendo's shiny new DS system to get...

Spider-Man 2 (ds)

Not only is Spider-Man one of the coolest superheroes out there, but he's clearly the one comic book character that gets the best videogames. His unique superhuman abilities, most notably his wall crawling and web swinging capabilities, tailor extremely well to the gaming format, and it gives developers plenty of room for ideas to create a fun and faithful action design. But never have his...
