Great.Strengths: * addictive & well designed * though not entirely multiplayer, can play with 2 people * replay value Weakness: parts levels obscure mario, making it hard to see where he's going I wasn't a huge super mario fan, but this game got such rave reviews I had to give it a shot. And it doesn't disapoint. The biggest strength is the replay value. There are so many levels to this game that you can play for weeks/months. The levels are short enough that you don't get too bogged down and do feel a sense of accomplishment. It's nice that there is a second player control that can "help" mario - makes it so you don't have to just play it alone. The levels are well designed. They start off relatively easy and teach you how to use the wiimote & nunchuck together, then get progressively harder as you get used to the controls. So much variety in the numerous levels that it doesn't get boring or repetitive. Highly recommended. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Super Mario GalaxyStrengths: Great graphics and music, fun to play Weakness: nothing I am a long time Mario fan and this game did not let me down. I had high expectations for Super Mario Galaxy, and it's even better than I hoped. It is really addicting. I played it everyday since I purchased ten days ago. It is a perfect game. I absolutly love it! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Mario's Back and better than ever!Strengths: True successor to Mario64 Easy to play, but plenty of goodies for more intense gamers Family friendly Weakness: Camera Angle/Management improved, but still leaves room for improvement Mario Galaxy is the best Mario game to come out since Mario64. It has a lot of similarities, but there are many improvements and innovations. It definitely takes advantage of the Wii remote on many levels and the variety of ways it's used is a refreshing break. The game is easy to get into, but there are many bonus levels you can activate that are more challenging. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Mario for the next generation!Strengths: Controls are a blast, spectacular graphics, lots of gameplay Weakness: Not high def, a little gimmicky... I'm reaching for something negative to say! After 10 grueling years, we finally have a true sequel for Mario 64. To say that this game is a blast to play is an understatement. The Wii controls work very nicely, and its a lot of fun to control Mario through his quest to find the stars. This is the reason you bought your Nintendo Wii. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Not Quite My ThingStrengths: Music, visuals Weakness: Too easy I enjoyed previous Mario games but this one didn't really do it for me. The presentation is fantastic with a wonderful soundtrack and beautitul visuals, and the game is polished like no other, but the gameplay leaves a bit to be desired. The platforming in this game is nearly all super simple and super easy. It really lacks a challenge. Super Mario Sunshine for Gamecube, while a very flawed game, at least had the special levels where they took away your water pack. Those levels were pure, concentrated platforming, and they were pretty tough. Galaxy only has a few moments like those and the rest is too simple for my tastes. I'm apparently in the vast minority with my opinion on this game though, so if you've liked previous Mario platformers, you'll probably love this one. 67% of readers found this review helpful. True evolution from Mario64Strengths: Awesome control and gameplay Weakness: None at all! Having been a huge fan of the Mario series since a child, I have to say this game is as entertaining for adults as it is for children. Maintains the legacy of the Mario franchise. Although this game should have been released when the console came out as is tradition with Nintendo, it was well worth the 1 year wait. Great fun, go pick up a copy! 60% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Super Mario Bros 3 + Mario 64 = ThisStrengths: THE ENTIRE GAME?! Weakness: Not much at all, actually. The only thing "annoying" is getting used to the gravity & planets..but...that's also fun :) The music and costumes and AIRSHIPS from Super Mario Bros 3 (Oh, and some enemies!) + the awesomeness that is Mario 64 is what this game is all about! 50% of readers found this review helpful. This is what you've been waiting for... A sucessor...Strengths: Inventive gameplay, great graphics/soundtrack, a killer ap for your Wii. Weakness: "Planets" take some getting used to. Um, thats it. We've been waiting for years for a worthy sequel to Mario 64 (Sunshine was terrible), and we've finally got it. Mario Galaxy sets the bar very high for 3d platformer, as the gameplay is excellent, as well as the graphics. This is one you'll want to replay again and again. 40% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

THE must-have title for the Wii!Strengths: fun fun fun Weakness: nothing! If there's one game that's a must-have for the Nintendo Wii this holiday season, it's Super Mario Galaxy. It has graphics that (although not high-def) are unbelievably beautiful. The controls are perfect and the game is overall just FUN! 33% of readers found this review helpful. Super Mario GalaxyStrengths: *Controls *Graphics *Gameplay Weakness: None Super Mario is back! I was disappointed by Super Mario Sunshine and it's been over 10 years since Super Mario 64 so, this game is a Godsend. It's everything I could have hoped for and more. This is easily the game of the year and the reason to own/buy a Wii. You won't be disappointed 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Best Mario everStrengths: Stellar platforming Weakness: Too restrictive with new costumes Mario Galaxy is the Mario game everyone has been waiting for. For some, it will be the best Mario game in 10 years (Mario 64). For others, the best in 20 years (SMB3). For others, the best ever. While I haven't yet made up my mind, no platforming or Mario fan should pass this game up. Combining brilliant platforming with 3D spherical worlds, you have a new twist on an old genre, complete with new costumes for special abilities - that are unfortunately only available in prescribed locations. No whipping out your Bee suit on the last level of the game. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Mario Galaxy ReviewStrengths: Very fun classic Mario gameplay Weakness: Camera can be a little awkward Mario Galaxy is the next game in the famous Mario series, one of the best out there. Mario Galaxy takes the next step in platformer gaming, as it takes place is space on spherical worlds. This is a very unique idea and Nintendo pulled it off greatly. Nintendo did just a marvelous job on this game, and the only real fault is that the camera can sometimes be a little annoying, but for the most part, it works well enough. Overall I can't stress how much Nintendo did a great job on this game and I recommend it to everyone! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Mario Explores the Galaxies!Strengths: Great graphics even on a HDTV, solid controls, great replay ability, one of the best level designs for 3D games, but most importantly it's fun! Weakness: Camera view (rare) If you own a Wii, there is no excuse not to have this game. In all honesty, this has to be the best Wii game that has come out thus far. There are also some stages take take advantage of the Wiimote and introduce creative controls for it. The music is well thought out, graphics are clear and crisp, and replayability is very high. This game also supports widescreen so if you have a HDTV like me, don't worry! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Takes 3D Platform Gaming to the Next LevelStrengths: Soundtrack is incredible, innovative gameplay, ground-breaking spherical worlds, fun for all ages, Co-Star mode is great for a parent and child Weakness: Camera angles are a little tricky, but not prohibitive From veterans of Mario 64 back on the Nintendo 64 to newcomers on the Nintendo Wii, Super Mario Galaxy is one of the "must have" games for the system no matter what type of gamer you are. If you've been a fan of Mario games (even back to the original Super Mario Bros. on the NES), you'll notice elements from each game incorporated into this game and more. The graphics, music, and controls are simply as good as you'll find on the Wii. Definitely worth a purchase and will last you hours on end collecting every star. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Galaxy: Mario SuperStrengths: Great gameplay, graphics, sound Weakness: Running around planets can make your head hurt. Super Mario Galaxy is an amazing game that's easy and fun to pick up and play. The graphics and control are excellent, the levels are interesting and clever, and a welcome cooperative two-player mode is present. Highly recommended for all Wii owners. Super Mario Galaxy is SUPER!!Strengths: Fun for the entire family. Graphics are great. Weakness: It was one of the more expensive games at around $50, but worth every penny. It can be a little confusing in the beginning, but one can figure it out at a few tries. I purchased this game for my family for a Christmas present to go with the Wii that I bought. It has been such a hit. My husband, son, and even my daughter have be playing it. I haven Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A truly amazing Mario!Strengths: Long game, superb gameplay, tons of fun Weakness: Camera is messing up sometimes, but not often There's not much to be said about Mario Galaxy, the series' greatest entry in since Mario 64, and very comparable to the classic Mario 3 on the NES. Super Mario 3 3D, I mean, GalaxyStrengths: Amazing graphics for a Wii game, rediculously fun gameplay, many stars to collect means this game will last a while Weakness: camera can bug out at times, some challenges may be too hard for some players This is the game we've been wanting since Mario 64 came out. This game is just so good, it's hard to put into words. From the airships, to the fairly small but fun levels, to the myriad powerups, this game is to Super Mario 64 what Super Mario Bros. 3 was to the original (ironically making Sunshine the black sheep of the 3d games, just as Mario 2 is for the 2d games). Super Mario GalaxyStrengths: Mario platforming at its finest - a must have game for the Wii. Weakness: N/A Super Mario Galaxy is a must-have game for the Nintendo Wii. It is a worthy successor to the classic Nintendo 64 game Super Mario 64 and the underrated Super Mario Sunshine for the Gamecube (both of which are also must-own titles that can also be played on the Wii - Mario 64 through the Virtual Console and Sunshine on a Gamecube disc). A Mario Game So Big It Spans Over Galaxies!Strengths: Innovative, Controls, Graphics Weakness: Nothing I Can Think of Super Mario Galaxy is the newest addition in platforming in Nintendo's biggest video game franchise that brought gaming back to glory back in the mid 80s when Super Mario Bros. came out with the NES system. Super Mario GalaxyStrengths: Super Mario Galaxy has the best visuals and sound on Wii to date. Weakness: I have not found any. The plot in Super Mario Galaxy involves the Mushroom Kingdom's Princess Peach getting into a tussle with the evil Bowser and ultimately being kidnapped. The twist is that Bowser plans on creating a new universe: his minions literally rip Peach's castle out of the ground and tow it off into the lower atmosphere of the planet. The Wii's dual controller setup proves to be very accurate. The game is easy to get into, but there are many bonus levels you can activate that are more challenging. Camera angles are greatly improved over Mario64. Super Mario Galaxy's graphics are out of this world and the soundtrack is amazing. Super Mario Galaxy is an excellent game and a must have for anyone with a Nintendo Wii. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy is an action 3D platformer released for the Wii on November 12th, 2007. The game is set in outer space, as you control Mario by jumping from planetoid to planetoid with the objective of collecting stars like other Mario 3D games. Gravity plays a significant role in Galaxy with the planets affecting Marios trajectory while also preventing him from drifting off in to space. Note:... Top

Super Mario Galaxy
In fact, just about the only clichéd thing about the game is the story – which is almost exactly the same as every other Mario title in existence: Mario’s love interest, Princess Peach, has been kidnapped by the evil Bowser, meaning that the plump plumber must embark upon an epic journey across many different locations filled with devious platforming challenges to save her. No surprises... Top

Impeccable isn’t a strong enough word to describe what this game has done for the action/adventure genre. Groundbreaking doesn’t cut it either. The controls and world designs are as close to perfection as a game can get. TopAdvertisement

Return of the best
Strengths: Wonderful platforming Colorful graphics Music
Weakness: It ends.
You played Super Mario 64. Meet the game that (arguably) takes the crown as best 3D platforming game of all time.
If you have a Wii, don't hesitate to purchase this game. The planet hopping is new and exciting, and just when you think the game *might* get repetitive, they throw new features at you.
It really is one of the greatest games of this time.
