The Punisher

Strengths: This game has cool weapons and good graphics. The story is not short.

Weakness: The view of Punisher sometimes goes bad.

The Punisher helps out the cops by killing all the vigilantes like himself. There are stages like the crackhouse and the pier. The Punisher is going to all these places killing the enemies such as the russian which is a huge guy that can't be hurt by bullets. There are guns like the flamethrower that burns the enemy senceless. The Puinisher could do things like quick kill, interrogate, special interrogation, and special quick kill. The Punisher also could go into slaughter mode which is where you can throw knifes at enemies. The Punisher tries to bring down the gotti family which is Bob Gotti, Ma Gotti and so on. To me this game is rated 10 out of 10.

The Punisher

Strengths: New concept on an old genre

Weakness: Camera angle

At its core, The Punisher is much like any other 3rd person shooter. Go through the levels and kill everything in sight as you try to complete your objectives. However, The Punisher adds a new concept to this old game, in that you have the ability to interrogate any of the bad guys before you actually kill them. Each enemy you interrogate may or may not provide you with some useful information. Most of the interrogations are unnecessary, but they are fun and add a new dimension to the game. If you enjoy 3rd person shooters, definitely give this one a try.

The Punisher

Strengths: Good graphics. So this is what it's like to be the Punisher.

Weakness: Some elements get repetitive, such as interrogation. Camera can be annoying at times. Nothing unique about the game.

This game, which is based on the Marvel comic, is about a man named Frank Castle whose family is murdered by the mob. Frank survives and vows to get his revenge. This is when The Punisher was born. In the beginning of the game you are captured by the NYPD and you relive your violent and deadly vigilante mission by playing through it. The graphics in the game are good, but not spectacular. The interrogations are cool at first, but get old later on. The choice of weapons in the game are also nice. Submachine guns, flamethrowers, and rocket launchers oh my! Although the game is really violent, it's subdued a bit by the screen turning black and white during some really twisted executions. The game is fairly easy and lasts about 10-12 hours, which isn't too bad. I would only recommend this game if you could find it in a clearance bin for around $10 to $15. Otherwise I would suggest renting it first to see if you really like it before spending anymore than that on it, because this game is not for everyone.

Punisher

Strengths: Great Action : Fun to hear voiceovers : Gameplay is decent

Weakness: Camera angle can become a bit skewed.

I went and saw this movie in the theater, and enjoyed it - so I bought this game when I saw it on sale. I was excited to hear that the voiceover for Punisher was ToM Jane - the actor from the movie. The game itself doesn't follow the movie, however - which is fine by me. The game is similar to routine 3rd person shooters, but offers its own uniqueness. Specifically, interrogation and torture! Yay. You can strike fear into the hearts of the badguys for info, and there are supposedly 100 ways to do so. I haven't seen them all, but most of them.
Overall, Id say the game is worth the purchase if you are a fan of brutal violence =]

Punishment !!!

Strengths: Fun gameplay. Cool weapons. Not very difficult. Good voice-overs.

Weakness: The violence was toned down and edited.

The Punisher is a third person shooter like Max Payne and Dead to Rights. It's made by the same people that made the Red Faction and Summoner games, Volition. It is probably one of the best comic book based video games made. This is partly due to it being rated Mature. The Punisher is a very violent game but there are much worse games out there. As a matter of fact, lots of the violence was edited out and therefore ruined some of the fun of the game. The voice of the Punisher is done by the same guy from the new movie. Don't worry, this game is not based off of the new movie! It's more like the Punisher movie from the late 80s early 90s. The bottom line is that the game is still fun to play. If you like action and you like The Punisher, check this game out.

awesome game

Strengths: Interrogation techniques, unique ways to kill bad guys, good enemy AI, Storyline

Weakness: Controls

The punisher was by far one of the best games I've played in a while. I've definately enjoyed playing it all the way through the end. I think one of the best things about this game was the ability to interrogate a criminal before killing him. You had several different options in the way you interrogated them, sometimes providing different responses for each. The blood and gore was everywhere. This game is definately staying on my shelf so that I can play it whenever I feel the need to see some cool action. Even if you haven't watched the movie and don't know the concept behind "The Punisher," go ahead and buy it anyways.

The Punisher

Strengths: Great sound and game play.

Weakness: There's no weaknesses to this game.

This is a must own game for any Playstation 2 console owner. You have several options in this game. For example, when you come across an enemy you have the option to interrogate him or to kill him. I consider The Punisher to be in the top ten for the bestest shooting games for the Playstation 2.

The only thing I dislike about this game is you can't lean against objects to shoot, only your enemies. Other than that this is a must own for any Playstation 2 owner.

The Punisher

We all know that movie and comic book-driven games have been hit-and-miss, and unfortunately it’s mostly been miss, but as of late the quality of these titles has been increasing. Two great examples are last year’s Chronicles of Riddick and Spider-man 2. These games in particular showed us that games based on a movie or comic book can actually provide a unique and entertaining experience....

The Punisher (ps2)

Could those crappy Canadian crooners the Barenaked Ladies be right? Has it truly all been done? Playing The Punisher, it would seem that way. How else would a third-person gore-fest filled with gritty death scenes, dry/witty dialogue, and more shells than a beach fail to really excite me? This game hits all the hot spots, but still ends up relatively lukewarm. That doesn't mean you shouldn't play...

The Punisher (ps2)

Reviewing video games for a living, I've had the opportunity to witness all sorts of sadistic acts on my television. Nothing, however, has quite measured up to THQ's The Punisher. This is the type of game media watchgroups love to loathe. It's so violent, so bloody, that the ESRB forced developer Volition to snuff some of the gorier moments, muting violent interrogations in black and white....
