Fighting Game - Wii - MPN: 742725275584

Decent Fighting, Terribly Flawed from a Sinking and...

Strengths: Amazingly fast-paced, fun, and exciting matches, True to source materials, at least a semblance of an online component, and large character roster

Weakness: ONLINE BROKEN, Many characters are generic except for specials and overpowered, generic stages, low stage detail, terrible company support

I got this game as an upgrade from Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution. And it is definitely an upgrade. My siblings and I have had much more fun playing this anime based fighter than the other, despite the fact that this one one only allows two fighters to go at it at one time.

The character customization system is decent, and they are improving the storytelling, though there is a lot less than before.

But I have a lot of problems. Primarily, the biggest draw of this basic 0 graphical overhaul annual iteration of the same old game was the online component. And Atari released a version of the game that they KNEW was buggy. The battles are supposed to be fast paced and fun, but the online is as lag full as no other game I have ever played. In best of games, there is a overall slowdown with sudden game pauses as the lag spikes, and in most the game is freezing every other second. Furthermore, the motion controls are incorrectly or not at all recognized because of this severe latency issue. Atari has yet to even address this problem- and they definitely knew about the problem before they released the game. The liars.

Furthermore, you should know Atari is currently deep in debt and failing as a company. So beware before buying this product for the online.

Then there is the gameplay. Almost none of the characters are truly unique. They all have the same basic fighting mechanic (press A to attack!) and some unique special animations- but nothing more to give me a feel that they are this special, different fighter. The number of characters that they boast is a lie- most can just be costumes or combined into one character, but it is still impressive nonetheless.

The few truly unique characters are weak and quirky- none of the characters that you would bring out in a serious fight. So once again the game is a button masher with generic characters with the same movesets, and no graphics overhaul and a broken online.

My advice: Wait for the sequel or DBZ: Burst Limit. Or Super Smash Bros.!

Dragon ball z budokai tenkacihi 3 had an interesting...

Strengths: good graphics, good music, and large host of characters

Weakness: auto-taunt system, some control difficulties

the controls on this game are much more pickup-and-play friendly than other titles, however there are some small flukes such as deflecting and dragon dodge. With the ability to choose many characters and use tactical thinking, derived from the large fighting environments, differentiate this title from other fighting games. in game you are enabled to use potara to upgrade your character. the net battle mode which allows you to battle other people across the globe has a painstaking lag problem.

Best of the 3 DBZ Games and best wii fight game...

Strengths: vast amount of characters, great wii remote interactions, good graphics, awesome pace

Weakness: A little bit lackluster on the story mode; there was a wide margin between the top notch characters and the mediocre one;tournament mode is not as friendly

This is definitely a top notch fighting game for wii owners, whether they are DBZ fans or not. This is a very easy game to learn, but an extremely difficult game to master, especially, all the combo and dodge and counter attack. It's really all about timing and mastering your character skills. There is a huge separation between the top tier and the bottom tier of characters and choosing the latter could easily get you pounded to submission. The controls take a bit of getting use to, but once you learn the basic, it's pretty much go go go. This game is definitely a high adrenaline rush, especially if you have friends over waiting for a battle. Overall, definitely highly recommended buy for DBZ fans and non-fans alike.

Brawl, DBZ Style

Strengths: Enhanced controlling, graphics, added cinematics, online play, 161 fighters

Weakness: Went down a tiny step on story mode

I'm an absolute fan of DBZ and so for those of you who are fans...this game is a must. Its amazing to be able to play so many characters and enjoy the whole DBZ storyline over again after watching the anime. The graphics of this game over DBZ:BT2 went up a little. In addition were the cinematics, refined controlling, a new total of 161 fighters and some online play (I haven't tested it yet but I can assume it would be fun). The only drawback with this game compared to BT2 is that they went down on the story mode a tiny bit with taking random things out. Overall with the core gameplay and everything its great. Recommended.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

For several years, Atari has released many Dragon Ball Z fighting games and each one is better than the previous. With this year’s game, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Atari has pulled out all the stops to give players the biggest and most complete game yet! There are two questions that need to be answered though: since this anime series popularity is slowly declining in the United States,...
