Great game finally brought to the Wii

Strengths: Classic game with Wii functionality

Weakness: Limited song choice

Great classic game especially great for parties and get togethers. Limited song choice, but thats always a problem with these types of games. The Wii added functionality makes this game a level better than those offered on the other system platforms.

Dance until you drop

Strengths: added wii hand controls brings a new dynamic to the game great for work outs

Weakness: need a stand bar in order to dance on expert. hard to find a beat that you are dancing to for some songs

some songs are just boring and don't offer much of a help when trying to learn the game. There could have been more of a song choice because the songs chosen that were turned into gogo...doesn't seem to fit. I was always hard to find a dance game for nintendo and this is just great. With the wii being backward compatible if you can find mario dance you'll be able to play with the same pad. Don't worry about findind wii dance pads, the gamecube dance pads works the same.

Very fun

Strengths: Dance when swinging the wii remote, both your feet and hands can exercise

Weakness: Graphics is ok.. Manual is poorly made..

This game comes with a dance pad but the real fun is to have multiple players playing at the same time. 1+ extra dance pad is highly recommended when you purchase this game.

With Wii, now DDR is not only for your feet but also for your hands. Nevertheless, you can turn off the hand-swinging feature if you prefer the traditional way of playing.

The graphics of the game is so so. The manual is poorly made (no color pages except the cover) and it does not give you too much information about the game, for example, how to get higher numeric scores and how to get higher letter scores.

another fun wii game

Strengths: new hand control.

Weakness: the dance pad is cheap.

I don't like the dance pad come with this bundle. It is too thin and too light. One design flaw of the game is that you cannot save your setting of the hand control. The wife doesn't like the hand control and she has to disable it everytime she starts the game. The setting is lost as soon as you turn off the game console.

Party Time!

Strengths: Bundle includes a dance pad

Weakness: Mixture of songs could be better

Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party Bundle for the Wii brings the arcade type dance games right to your home! This is a load of fun especially with multiple players. It comes with a dance pad/mat but I would call the one that is included more of an 'economy' quality (it gets the job done, but I don't think it is going to hold up for very long with people jumping up and down on it - although I could be wrong). I would suggest buying at least one more dance mat for good head to head competition. However you can use it right out of the box. You'll love it.

Dance Party!

Strengths: Good use of Wii remote; nice twist. Compatible with Mario Mix for the GameCube.

Weakness: Songs and music are just so-so

It's nice to see that DDR has come to the Wii. This title should definitely be a part of your party library if you have friends and family to play with you. It's a blast to play and watch others play too. You can buy additional pads separately, which is funner than having to share a single pad for each player. Just make sure your living room or playing area can accommodate multiple pads. If you have the Mario Mix DDR title for the GameCube, you can also play it on your Wii. Highly recommended bundle. Great way to exercise too!

Get Ready to Sweat!!!

Strengths: Fun, Dance pad included

Weakness: Can be tough to keep up with at times

This is a really fun game. It comes with the dance pad (something I didn't realize until I almost bought the game without the dance pad - same title but not the bundle - the bundle includes the dance pad). Lots of fun and you can connect multiple dance pads to the game. Its a good workout (but you have fun doing it!)

DDR: Hottest Party (Wii)

Strengths: Hand motions via the wiimote & nunchuk

Weakness: Nunchuk often doesn't register. Not sure how durable the thin dancepad included will be in the long run.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party is a very good interactive game for the Wii. The bundle comes with both the game disc & 1 dance mat. I definitely recommend picking up a second dance mat, that way you can play 2- player and face off against someone. The dance pad connects into the Gamecube controller ports on the Wii, so any dance mat with a Gamecube connector end should work. Unlike the PS2 and Xbox 360 versions, DDR on the Wii has hand motions you have to learn via the wiimote and nunchuk. The hand motions are fun and work well with DDR for the most part. The main problem is that the nunchuk motions don't seem to register, so it can be quite annoying at times. Another annoyance with the game, is that you can't restart a track mid-song. So if you severely mess up, you actually have to wait until the entire song finishes before restarting. I still find this hard to believe, but haven't figured out any way besides rebooting the whole Wii. The songlist itself is pretty good although it's definitely slanted on the Techno side. I rated DDR 4 stars, although it should really be more like 3.5 stars--I have fun while I'm playing it, but it isn't a game find myself playing over and over again.

Great for exercise

Strengths: good exercise.

Weakness: Pricy; not very sensitive to arm movement

My purpose to buy Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party Bundle (Wii) is to keep fit. I have to say it works.

However I don't think the game players would be satisfied like me. The new feature introduced by Wii Remote and Nunchuk needs a lot of improvement before it can be advertised like this.

Fantastic title... lots of fun

Strengths: Great for party game as well as individual modes. Addition of hand gestures adds a new element to the game, good music selection

Weakness: Hand motions can be tricky to master... you have to step off the pad to maneuver the menus

My wife absolutely loves this game. The music is better than the old 'mario mix' title for the Gamecube and the game is a lot of fun for both single and multiple players. The game is also compatible with any pads you might have used with the Gamecube, so that's a bonus by itself.

It would have been nice if they'd have fixed the title to allow you to navigate menus while standing on the pad, however.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party Bundle (WII)

Strengths: Very interactive. You can use your handes or choose not to. Great excersise if you have the time at first. Great for the legs. Great sound track fun to dance to or at least try.

Weakness: If you are new this could be very frustrating. Needs more work with inplay instructions. Timing is everything. Instruction book leaves out a few things like how to shut the hands off.

I would buy the next version of this game. Would like to have more song choices but great sound track. if you have been gaming before the menu is easy to navigate and begin playing right away. If you are looking for graphics this game does not have it, but it does not need it. It is all about rythem and hitting the notes not how the characters look. Fun game great excercise. Took me about 45 minutes 30 minutes of game play to burn 100 calories on beginner.

Shall we dance

Strengths: Great fun for all ages. good way to get in shape. This will get you up and going.

Weakness: Limited choices of songs. Lack of old favorite songs. Dance pads wears fast.

This game is a hoot. Everyone from 2 to 90 should have a good time with this game. It is entertaining as well as good exercise. This is so much better than just the average video games. Add the remote and you have a full workout. You really need two pads to add to the fun.
Manual is poorly written and there is a limited number of song choices. It does have some short comings, but I highly recommend this game. It is so much fun I am going to give it a 5 even with the short comings.
Try it, You'll like it.

Dance Dance Revolution for Wii

Strengths: Really gets you moving with the Wii version great way to shape up because you are moving your entire body

Weakness: Dance pad gets worn fast and with the entire family using it could use a second pad

Other than minor weaknesses of a chincy pad it is one of the best ways to get a party started or get the family together. Would definately recommend this game for any dance lover

Nice music heaven

Strengths: My wife loves this DDR bundle for the game system. The music songs are very cool and easy to follow using feet and arms. You can even model yourself and become one of a dancing stars!!

Weakness: There is no so-called weakness, but we would like to see more models and songs which will further improve this product.

It's the best dancing game out there in the market. My wife loves this bundle. The models and songs are superb! It's easy to set up and follow. Make sure to use both feet and arms.. It's a great product!

Fun game

Strengths: A fun way to burn some caleries

Weakness: Missing old favorite songs

I have been a fan of DDR since the Sony PS1 days. The Wii DDR is not very different. It's fun to play, especially when you compete with your friends. It has a large range of difficulty levels from boring to hummanly impossible. It added hand movements. But not so much to get a proper upper body workout. I find the gimmics (like knocking obstructions to your opponent's screen) annoying. You can turn it off in options. There are ~50 songs. I didn't like them so much as the songs from PS1 remix, though.
