Decent fighting gameStrengths: Plethora of moves, plenty of characters Weakness: Difficult to learn moves I was expecting more of a "Mortal Kombat" game, so take this review with that in mind. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Virtua Fighter 5 Online (Xbox 360)Strengths: Great graphics and sound, online gameplay, more options than PS3 version, deep gameplay Weakness: Deep fighting system needs time to master, limited online play issues Virtua Fighter 5 Online is the update to the PS3 title. This version adds online play via XBL, as well as additional customization options for all the fighters. The game looks great and sounds great, and with the added online play, is a great fighting game on the 360. The online match management is a bit lacking, and other fighting games on the 360 have a better system in-place. The game isn't for the casual button masher, as it needs style and finesse to work up to the top levels of gameplay. Those are minor issues for a great 360 fighting game. Virtua Fighter 5 Online = AwesomeStrengths: Great graphics and online play pretty smooth. deep gameplay if you take the time to learn it Weakness: May not be for casual players, deep system, cant really button mash and takes a long long time to learn the system. Basic modes online This game is definitely not for the casual gamer as they will get bored in 20 minutes. Playing against someone that is at your skill level is pretty fun and watching the pros work online is amazing to watch. Online mode is too basic and cant add your pals to fight Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Patience Is a VirtueStrengths: Enjoyable, deep gameplay; great graphics; online play Weakness: The fighting engine hasn't changed dramatically since the last game Xbox 360 owners have patiently awaited their turn to play one of the best fighting games on the planet. And their patience has indeed paid off! The Xbox 360 version looks just as good as the PS3 version (if not better), and it comes complete with achievements and online play. The gameplay is fast, smooth, deep, and incredibly fun. It may not be as approachable as the 360's other big fighter, Dead or Alive 4, but it is far more rewarding. On line fighting forever!Strengths: Great graphic and sound. The on line VS. is one of the biggest selling point of this game. For PS3 version, it lacks on line player vs player mode. A plue for 360 version. Weakness: Some characters are not easy to master. Virtua fighter series has been great for die hard fighting game fans. For VF5, 2 new characters were added and both are easy to learn for people new to this game. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Nice Looking Deep FighterStrengths: Visuals and deep fighting system. Weakness: Deep fighting system can be unforgiving. This is a must try for any Xbox 360 owner. The visuals for this game is top notch for a fighting game. The characters and stages have a great amount of detail and make it a joy just to watch. However, the layout of the stages is somewhat boring, mostly a square of rectangle shape. It would of been nice to have changes in elevations and bigger stages like Dead or Alive. Virtua Fighter 5 OnlineStrengths: Good graphics. Online play. Deep fighting system. 17 characters, Quest Mode, and lots of unlockables. Weakness: Fighting system may be too technical for some. The English dubbing is laughable. Xbox controller's lame D-pad makes pulling off certain moves difficult. The fighting system is complex with an overwhelming number of moves for each character. This is not an easy to pick up and play kind of game. Casual gamers should look elsewhere. You will have to practice and train hard in order to master a single character. But if you're not afraid of a little challenge, then this game has lots to offer. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Good old fighting gamesStrengths: Great graphics and responsive controls Weakness: The fighting genre is showing its age This is the same Virtua Fighter that you may have been playing for years, now with cutting edge graphics and refined gameplay. This is probably the best that a pure fighting game will get, with very realistic characters and forms. However, I found myself getting a little tired of just a fighting game with all of the recent blockbuster games. If you still enjoy fighting games you will probably really like this one. 360 version > PS3 version but still flawedStrengths: Slightly faster loading compares to PS3 and online at last Weakness: Some online flaws I've reviewed the PS3 version awhile back and stated it had long load times for a fighting game and no online play. Now we have the Xbox 360 version and it fixed the long load time somewhat and finally added online play. However, the online play is crippled. There's no lobby to invite several of your online friends to join the party. Also, there's no way to change stages unless you exit the online battle you are in and resend an new invite to your friend once a new room with a new stage is selected. This is a far cry for someone coming from the DOA series. The overall game is still good but these shortcomings should be ironed out, hopefully in a future patch. I'm giving this an extra star over the PS3 version. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Virtua Fighter 5
Having debuted on the PlayStation 3 as a console exclusive, Xbox 360 owners felt left out when Sega released Virtua Fighter 5. Sure, there are some great fighting games already available (like Dead or Alive 4, among others) but the Virtua Fighter franchise has always held a special place in the hearts of hardcore fighting game fans. Thankfully for Xbox 360 owners, Sega has brought its fourth and... Top

Best Fighting Game On The 360
Strengths: Great Graphics, Challenging, and deep in gameplay.
Weakness: Too challenging further in, online is pretty lacking, and tough to pull off moves.
I have always had a love for fighting games when they could mainly be played at arcades. Now, with the latest gen video game systems, they now can be played at home with arcade quality graphics. The graphics are amazing in this game.
There are many modes of gameplay in VF5 like Arcade, Vs., Quest, and online. To start, I suggest going to quest mode to practice on less competitive AI in the lower end arcade. You can then work your way up to more difficult arcades to join in different tournaments and rank ups. Arcade gets really hard after the 4th fighter, so it gets pretty frustrating. VF5 is definitely not a button masher, but a defensive and strategy fighter. You need to find the right time to pull off the special move on your opponent.
This game was well worth the $40 I paid at Circuit City. I would suggest a buy for this game if you like fighters and beautiful graphics.
