EYETOY GROOVEStrengths: great psychelic effects and songs Weakness: u need optimal light conditions to get the Eyetoy to work properly EYETOY GROOVE is a music rhythm game for the PS2 that uses the Eyetoy camera to play. If u played games like Samba de Amigo or the other music games that use maracas, then u will be familiar w/ the gameplay here. Ur image on the TV screen is at the center and u have to basically touch 6 circular pads that are spread around the screen perimeter at the right time. The music will begin and then dots or arrows will begin to pass over a certain pad. U have to touch the pad at the right time to build up points and sometimes, u even have to shake ur hand inside the circle for a few beats or even “pose” when 2 circles randomly appear onscreen. U can score bonus points if u even dance and add some flair to ur moves. Basically, the goofier u dance , the more points u get. This is why this is such a great party game, because u can act the fool in front of ur friends and all of u will get great laughs from each other. There are a total of 30 songs in this game, with a lot of European club dance music, and they all sound great. I really recommend this game. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

EyeToy: Groove (PS2)Strengths: (1) Fun party game for a group of friends (2) 28 licensed songs to "dance" to Weakness: (1) The songs are short EyeToy: Groove is a fun party game that is best played when you have a couple of friends over. This is one of those games that can be just as entertaining to watch - especially as your friends loose their inhibitions and proceed to make goofy gestures and movements. There are a couple of different play modes, the most fun of which is the two player mode where you stand behind or in front of another person and either work together to hit all the hotspots or compete to hit only the hotspots which are assigned to you (by color). Overall, this is a fun game that gets people up and moving and gives you a good excuse to look like a fool (while having fun, though). Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

EyeToy: Groove (ps2)
The EyeToy won GameSpy's most innovative product award last year, and for good reason. As I said in my EyeToy: Play review, the device makes gaming more accessible to the masses and immerses you in the action like nothing before. EyeToy: Play was the equivalent of an appetizer sampler platter for the webcam-esque PS2 peripheral. I wouldn't call EyeToy: Groove -- its software follow-up -- a thick,... Top

EyeToy: Groove
EyeToy: Groove for the Sony PS2 is the first game released for the PS2’s USB camera since the initial batch of games that came prepackaged with the EyeToy. Whereas those initial games were mainly a collection of “mini-games”, Groove is a game dedicated to one thing and one thing only, shakin’ your booty. Similar in nature to Konami’s seminal dance game Dance Dance Revolution, Groove is... Top

EyeToy: Groove (ps2)
So you went and got EyeToy: Play and convinced other members of your family to finally use your PlayStation 2, but the appeal of cleaning windows has faded. So now what? It's time to pick up EyeToy: Groove and get down with a more fully fleshed out party game. By taking the functionality of the Play games and throwing in some licensed music, Groove is providing another good reason to whip out the... Top

Grooving
Strengths: Cool special effects
Weakness: Playing by yourself can be lonely
Eyetoy Groove uses the eyetoy camera and captures you to the TV while you dance around to it's prompt. It's really a rhythm based game and does the job quite well. It really shines when you're playing with friends because of the funny motions you'll do in trying to win. This game has some great special effects and some catchy music to go along with it. If you enjoy rhythm based games, then you'll want to give this a shot.
