TOMB RAIDER for GAME CUBE

Strengths: Loads of Fun! Decent Storyline.

Weakness: The Game is pretty easy, but quite enjoyable.

I believe this is a great edition to the Tomb Raider series. The Game controls can be a bit challenging initially but once you get the hang of it, life is good. The graphics are fairly middle of the road, leaning more toward the good side of the road than the bad. The game is a bit on the short side but as I stated above, quite enjoyable as a whole. I would personally recommend the purchase of this game to any true fan of the series.

Lara's Return?

Strengths: It's Tomb Raider

Weakness: Short, easy

Lara's latest adventure isn't quite the triumphant return I had been hoping for. After the huge disappointment of Angel of Darkness, Legend was supposed to be a reboot for the series and a return to it's roots. The game is undoubtedly an improvement over her last adventure, but it is still a far cry from her first two games. While the controls are a huge improvement over previous games, the game is simply too short, too easy, and the combat still stinks. Despite my complaints, the game is still enjoyable and I have high hopes the this new development team's next entry into the series.

Raid those Tombs on the Gamecube!

Strengths: Fresh story, improved graphics, new developer

Weakness: Relatively short(about 5 - 10 hours to complete)

Tomb Raider: Legend is a much improved game over its recent predecessors, especially the maligned Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. Controls are responsive, the animation fluid, and the plot is much less recycled than previous titles. Also available on the PS2, DS, X360, PC, and more, you can't go wrong with a title that truly returns to the Tomb Raiding roots planted on the original Playstation.

Tomb Raider Legend

Strengths: Great graphics.

Weakness: Camera angles sometimes screwy.

Tomb Raider Legend for the Nintendo Gamecube is a really solid game. Great adventure. Great graphics. Pick it up cheap. It is well worth it. Brings back the fun of the original.

TR: Legend

Strengths: graphics, gameplay

Weakness: short game i guess

Tomb Raider on the Gamecube. Wow. It took a while for it to come to the Gamecube. It first came out for all other consoles. This game is loving it. Lara Croft got hotter and this game got better. The ones before this all crap excluding the first Tomb Raider on the PS1. After Legend came out, Anniversary came out. Which is also great. This game Legend, brings out new style and story. Lara Croft shows new moves and great body. It is fun and challenging. If you see this at Toys R Us, pick it up cause it's $9.99 over there.

Lara Croft finally arrives on Nintendo's home...

Strengths: Lara Croft re-imagined, plenty of new moves/abilities, solid graphics & audio

Weakness: Port of the PS2 version, too easy for most players, short overall length, no 480p on GCN

You've probably heard about Tomb Raider: Legend at this point. After original developer Core ran the series into the ground with endless undercooked sequels, publisher Eidos finally handed the series over to its more respected Crystal Dynamics studio. Legend marks the first time since the original Tomb Raider that a new game in the series has appeared on multiple home consoles.

Sure, Lara Croft has appeared on Game Boy handheld systems over the years, but Legend marks her first appearance on one of Nintendo's home consoles. Unfortunately, even here Gamecube owners had to wait until six months after the PS2 and Xbox ports came out to buy it. Was it worth the wait? For those without a PS2 or Xbox, it certainly was.

Developer Crystal Dynamics injects a livelier dose of action and adventure into Legend. The controls are intuitive, and the graphics and sound quality are better than Lara has seen in several years. There are plenty of new moves for Ms. Croft to master as well, so Legend offers something for new and veteran players alike.

Unfortunately, Gamecube owners don't get any extra content for their wait. Most people who wanted Legend have already played it on PS2 or Xbox. If Gamecube is your only system, you don't have a lot of games like Legend to choose from. Just be careful to look for Legend on sale as the earlier PS2 and Xbox releases have already hit the clearance bins.
