Sims PetsStrengths: NONE Weakness: No Freedom to move around, it is like the computer version I bought the Sims 2 Gams and absolutly loved it. So I was so excited when the Pet version came out and ran to the store to buy it. It was completly different and you had to click to walk instead of the free movement of the Sims 2. I was very disapointed and wasted 30 dollars. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

So-SoStrengths: Great Graphics, Can choose character clothes etc., can play with dog, multiplayer Weakness: gets boring, can only go to park, sometimes confusing Sims 2 pets is very boring after a while!! You cant make friends or go anywhere but the park. Sometimes its hard to take care of all the pets and also hard to keep track of how long you have the pets on your care. Good graphics though! Sims 2 Pets
Strengths: none
Weakness: does neither Sims nor pets well
After playing Nintendogs, The Sims 2 Pets seems like a letdown. It has some of the similar elements of the original Sims titles for your Sim human. However, there are much less options to choose from with respect to actions.
The pet portion is ok, about middle of the road compared to some of the other pet simulations. However, after a while, like most of the “take care of pets” titles, it gets repetitive and eventually didn’t hold my interest as long as when it was new. I’d say it s a fairly average title of this genre because it doesn’t do the Sims titles justice and the pet portion is pretty limited with respect to what you can do with your pet and it’s maladies. Maybe it’s just too much for the DS to handle both the human and pet Sims. It does neither very well compared to other dedicated genre titles (The Sims and Nintendogs).
