SAMURAI WARRIORS XB

Strengths: Mass Skill beat'-em-up Greatness! very similar to dynasty warriors.

Weakness: Not enough un-lockable characters (only 15 compared to dynasty warriors , 43 different generals)

You take Koei's trademark Dynasty Warriors series but instead of battling for control over feudal China, you battle for control of feudal Japan! you get Samurai Warriors , koei's Japanese spinoff on it's historically accurate epic hack & slash franchise.
Take on of a crew of playable heroes (lus via a training style mini-mission mode create your own officer )
(Oichi uses a yo-yo) and guide them trhu dewy-eyed drama, backstabbing, & lots & lots of killing in order to gobble up cool equippable items, level-up your stats & demolish an entire massive army .
The effect smacks of a mass scale beat'em-up- sort of like a 3D 'roided -out street of rage! some may find the gameplay too repitive button masher, ( those into final fantasy slow role-playing)
but Koei has refined the series to such a science that those who relish the idea of leaving there brains at the door in favor of bashing endless amount of skulls & mashing buttons will find it irresistible! Plus a ridiculous amount of unlockables, responsive controls & some seriously satisfying destruction will lure in returning Warriors fans!!
"Samurai Warriors" Satifies all your appetite for all-out destruction in in a way that few other games can even come close to!

SAMURAI WARRIORS XB

Strengths: Very Addicting! Non-Stop Action! Very similar to Dyansty Warriors 3 & 4 ! =)

Weakness: Need more than just 15 characters to unlock like Dynasty Warriors which has 43 officers that ya can unlock!

Upon starting the game, there are five playable characters, but this selection eventually expands to 15 to choose from.
Wish there were more tho.
The general action of Samurai Warriors is hack'n'slash with elemental special attacks and a power-up with the Musou power attack. This type of action could veer dangerously close to being utterly repetitive, but the variety of moves and the sheer scale of the battles makes you not even notice that you're playing a button masher. In other words, who cares if it looks like it's the same thing, this is some of the best hack'n'slash action out there except for Dynasty Warriors.
One of the features of Samurai Warriors is the battles that have a few dozen fighters on-screen at the same time. By loading up the Musou meter and launching a combo attack in the middle of this group, it's possible to send everyone around to their graves or at least whimpering in pain on the ground. At first, the Musou ability is short-lived, but by developing the characters through the game with experience points, this becomes a much stronger ability along with your attack & defence strengths . What starts off as a power boost eventually turns into a violent rampage. The big payoff is the ability to jump into the center of a group of enemies, kick off the Musou power and send the bodies flying either with Fire or Ice.
Koei promises more than 500 dynamic mission variations spread across more than 90 different stages--that's an awful lot for an action game, though truthfully, these are all close variations on a theme. Obviously, Samurai Warriors will feature an arsenal of weapons that's distinct from that of Dynasty Warriors. Traditional Japanese weaponry such as katanas, and shuriken will of course be available, as well as some more-esoteric weapons, such as the kusarigama--the sickle-and-chain and the Naginata which is a Long sword-like weapon Spear, similar to the European halberd or glaive.Only five characters are initially available, though others can be unlocked. Perhaps the most recognizable of these is the ninja Hanzo Hattori, who is also featured in SNK's Samurai Shodown series of fighting games. Though he's based on a historical character, unsurprisingly, Samurai Warriors depicts Hanzo as an extremely powerful and fast warrior, who, like the game's other characters, has certain mystical abilities in addition to a tireless sword arm. Each character has a slightly different arsenal of moves, overall, but all of them can use normal attacks to string together basic combos, as well as unique charge attacks. They can parry and evade and can use long-range weaponry. Occasionally, they can also enter into "musou mode," which allows them to dish out even more damage. As mentioned, the game features a whole bunch of different modes and options. These include the story mode, for one or two players; the free mode, for one or two players, which lets you choose from the scenarios you've unlocked; the new officer mode, in which you can create and train an AI officer to fight at your side; two different types of time-limited survival modes; a versus mode; and a challenge mode, in which you can hone your skills. That's a lot of variety, and the basic mechanics of the game are accessible and have a good, solid feel to them. No wonder, since Koei's been honing this particular style of gameplay for years now.one of the playable characters is your token cute anime ninja girl. This is going to be one of those games where you'll know what to expect if you've had previous experience with Dynasty Warriors. But there's nothing wrong with giving the people what they wish for.
