Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games

Strengths: Wide variety of events; solid gameplay; some funny moments.

Weakness: It should have been multiplayer.

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games is a very well done title. It’s based around a series of mini-games, but doesn’t age very quickly unlike many games of similar premise. It’s an excellent title and the perfect way to kill time. I suggest you give it a try yourself. This is a track and field type game. Of course, this one just happens to star a gang of anime hamsters. Wait! Don't leave yet. It turns out that there's a quality game underneath all the saccharin sweetness.

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games for the Nintendo Game Boy...

Strengths: + Great for Hamtaro fans + Solid, cartoony graphics + Good variety of games/events

Weakness: - Ends relatively quickly - Will not appeal to you if not a Hamtaro fan

This review is for Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. This is among the few Hamtaro games available for the Game Boy Advance as of this writing, and certainly the best one out of the bunch.
In Ham-Ham Games, you participate in different "events" in a Hamtaro Olympics of sorts. Your team of Ham-Hams can face off against other teams in the game in about a dozen or so different events. These events include pole-vaulting, dodgeball, track events, etc. The variety of these different events keep this game feeling somewhat fresh for most of the time you will be playing it. Nearly every event is quite fun, and sometimes even challenging (which is surprising, considering who this game is aimed at).
The graphics and sound fit the game well, with nothing terrible to be seen, but nothing amazing either. It also controls simply enough, which is quite nice for this type of game.
Overall, I'd recommend this game, especially to Hamtaro fans. You'll love it, appreciate it's humor, and get your money's worth. For the non-Hamtaro fan, perhaps a rental would be best (the style of the game most likely will not appeal to you).

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games (GBA)

Strengths: Good graphics, easy gameplay

Weakness: Repetitive music, on the short side

Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games is the Hamtaro series trying to do some Pokemon-like gameplay. The game has some nice graphics, though the sound and music as a bit repetitive. The gameplay has the Hamtaro working through a number of competitions, with some minigames that all for gameplay as different characters. It's a bit on the short side, so it might be worth picking up on the cheap.

For kids who like Hamtaro, it's a fun little game.

Better than Track and Field!

Strengths: Great minigames, nice graphics, silly hamsters.

Weakness: No multiplayer mode. A few of the minigames are subpar.

Ham-Ham Games is one of the best Olympic-style games to be released in many years. For the most part, the events are clever and well-designed and avoid the frantic button-mashing of past games. The events are all tied together with a neat seven-day team competition complete as well as a free-roaming RPG-esque mode of talking to other critters and collecting items. A fun little game from the developers of the Mario & Luigi series.

HAMTARO HAM-HAM GAMES GBA

Strengths: Fun game with several sports and you can work on a team in some of them.

Weakness: Once you have personalized this game with owner's name. This information can not be changed to be used with others user name. So, if you have several kids just one name of the kids can be set :-(

Ham Ham games is a very good game for people who like sports. it is challenging for all ages because you can change the difficulty level. My kids have been playing this games for weeks!

A cute and fun little title

Strengths: Fun challenges, very addictive

Weakness: Can be beaten quickly

This is a fun little title that I really have enjoyed playing. It has several fun challenges which include synchronized swimming, hammer throws, sprinting, and more where you can compete against all new hamsters. It's really quite addictive and fun. The only downside to this game is because it is so addictive, you will probably beat it quickly through a bit of practice. Definitely pick it up though!

A shameful confession! I like the hamtaro games!

Strengths: Varied little fun minigames. The default difficluty is rather challanging. There is a fun RPG element of running around and talking to hamsters between events.

Weakness: It removed the challange for me when I realized that I could win the gold on everything without penalty when I decreased the diffculty. (Serves me right.)

I like Hamtaro games! They are well made, and cute, and fun! There! I have said it! I am a hamster loving sissy girl, and proud of it. Anyway! As all you hamster loving sissy girls know, in the past Hamtaro games have been a sort of exploration/ puzzle sort of game. There is still some of that (You can explore and talk to people, and buy costumes, and there is a mini quest for hamster trading cards.) but the focus on this game is sports themed minigames. These games involve skills like button timing. It's quite fun and you compete against other teams. The higher difficulty settings can be quite a challenge, but I don't think there is any reward for playing it hard other than personal satisfaction.

So much fun playing this game!

Strengths: Easy but extremly fun

Hmm... I really don't like to spend so much time on studying the rule, so this game fits me perfectly. Besides, I think hamtaro is so cute, even my girl friend digs it too. I've spent too much money on games (hardware and software) and this is the game that my girl friend doesn't shout at me for the first time in my life. It comes with a lot of sub-games so you will keep enjoying this game for a long long time.

Hamtaro Ham-Ham Games...Excellent for the little ones

Strengths: Bright, easy to see, coloful graphics and animation. Simple gameplay with lots of variety. Not so challenging as to be frustrating.

Weakness: Music is repetitive as is the limited use of sound effects. Tad on the short side as it can easily be completed in a full day's worth of play. Some of the minigames aren't always intuative.

Hamtaro...

I believe this is set to try and dethrone the once great Pokemon franchise. And of course Nintendo is behind this series as well. Most all the Hamtaro games are geared for the little ones and this one is no exception. However, what makes it fun for them is also fun for adults as well! The game basically features you as the main character and participating through a mini Olympics of Hamster proportions. This game does have a bit more reading than some of the other Hamtaro games so it is recommended that little ones who can't read have a parent or guardian near by to tell the story. In addition the game will have you sometimes switch off with the other characters for the mini events and this lends to the variety of the gameplay. Lots of mini events to participate in and they are all different. It is kinda like having different smaller games all in one larger adventure style game. My kids love it, I like it and I think you will too.

Hamtaro

Hamster tennis anyone? How about volleyball? Or, if non-traditional sports are favored, try a little birdback riding. These are just a few of the sporty games offered up on the latest Hamtaro game from Nintendo.
