JAWS Unleashed
Ah … the beach. The sand, the sun, the ocean, and some woman flailing around in the water in a growing pool of red. While that may not sound like a reason for you to enjoy the beach (and if it does, please seek professional help), this would probably be the ideal vacation or just afternoon for a shark. If you’re wondering what it would be like to actually be a shark, then you’re in luck... Top

Jaws returns 30 years later with a mediocre licensed...
Strengths: Extreme violence, interesting role reversal concept, solid soundtrack
Weakness: Loose controls, camera issues, software bugs, weak storyline
Developer Appaloosa International is responsible for several of the popular Ecco the Dolphin games, so they do know how to put together an underwater adventure. Unfortunately, all-around poor game design makes this return of the Jaws franchise to video games a big disappointment for fans.
The shark itself simply doesn't control well, so you will quickly become frustrated over your inability to precisely target the enemies and objects necessary to accomplish most mission objectives. While the shark and water look alright, the land and people look pretty bad, and the frame rate stutters on occasion. The camera frequently obscures enemies, and the shark gets hung on invisible barriers.
Jaws Unleashed began life as Sole Predator, completely separate from the Jaws franchise. Someone at Appaloosa decided it would be a good idea to license the Jaws name and tie the game loosely to the film series, but this mediocre game remains a mediocre game with or without the license. For $10 or less, fans of Jaws or underwater adventures may have fun here, but all others are advised to stay away.
