Future of Ghost Recon begins hereStrengths: Good graphics. Weapons are modeled after real life weapons which gives more realistic feel. Fairly good storyline. Weakness: Installation of PhysX is needed, even if no such card is installed. Patches deals more with multiplayer issues. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter takes place in the future and has to do with some Mexican rebels and nuclear weapons and it is player's job to thwart the rebels' plans. The game features good graphics and seems to be using different engine than Rainbow Six Vegas series. Surprisingly, the video card requirement is not really high and the graphics is still enjoyable even at low settings. Most of the weapons in the game is modeled after real life weapons, which gives realistic feel. Even the theoretical weapons feels realistic. The storyline is quite good, but does not feel very original. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
The U.S. president has joined the Canadian prime minister and the Mexican president to sign the NAJSA (North American Joint Security Agreement), a policy to control illegal immigration and the movement of drugs and terrorists in the hemisphere. GRAW (PC)
Strengths: neat concept, decent graphics
Weakness: extremely frustrating & hard
I purchased Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PC for 10 bucks. I'm not a big tactical shooter fan -- I like run and gun first person shooters better. But I enjoyed Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) at first. It tells the story of a Mexican coup attempt and a unit of "ghosts" that you command. I thought the graphics are good and the game play was fun. You can command up to three other soldiers. You can tell them where to go and what direction to face and when to engage the enemy. All the weapons and gear is futuristic.
But after a while I got tired of the trial and error game play. You and your team can die very quickly and I was often required to start over on a mission. Maybe I don't have the patience for the methodical advance into hostile territory. So I lowered the difficulty to the easiest setting. But one mission in particular caused me to stop playing the game. The one where you have to get to the embassy and then it blows up and you have to defend the Mexican president. I must have played that one 20 times. I gave up after that.
I did enjoy the game for a bit but in the end, I found myself more frustrated then satisfied.
