pure pinball

Strengths: fast action

Weakness: hard to see table's details sometimes

Pure Pinball is one of the few table pinball games for the X box and is also one of the more realistic ones at that. Most pinball games for the computer or console system usually have a lot of electronic displays and other characteristics that are very hard to copy on to an actual pinball table. This game is more down to earth and realistic . The first compelling attribute of this game is that you get four pinball machines for the price of one game. The four tables are Excessive Speed, World War, Hyperspace, and Runaway Train, which is the most complex table out of the four. It has a recessed playing field and a captive ball, in addition to various ramps, modes, and all the other bells and whistles normally associated with a pinball machine. Ball physics are excellent and realistic with regards to the ball's reaction as it collides with the various bumpers at obstacles on the table. You can also nudge the table and risk getting a tilt, but it is almost useless, because nudging will have little effect on your ball, so forget about preventing the ball from falling into the pit and losing it. This game is just average to me, not exactly the best one out there, but still not too bad. This game is a budget priced title, so if you like pinball, I say get it and have a good time.

Pure Pinball (XBOX)

Strengths: (1) Offers fun pinball on console - not a lot of offerings out there (2) Nice graphics and fun pinball simulation

Weakness: (1) Though you can choose different camera views, there really isn't a good choice to follow the ball and yet still be aware of the table

I bought Pure Pinball at a bargain price and it is fun for what it is - a simple pinball game that offers a couple of different machines to play. The graphics are nice and the action is everything that I'd ever want from a pinball game. You can choose the camera view you want, however, none of the choices are really optimal for keeping tabs of the ball and being very aware of when it is nearing your flippers. In all, a fun, simple game that should be rented or purchased if found inexpensively.

Its still pinball

Strengths: Pretty good job of recreating pinball on the xbox

Weakness: its still computerized pinball

This does a good job for what it sets out to do, which is make a pinball machine out of your home entertainment system. It has some crazy effects and whatnot, but the reality is its still pinball. I personally would rather play a real machine and therefore did not enjoy this game very much at all. But if you enjoy this different kind of thing, then check this game out.

Pure Pinball

Strengths: Good graphics, easy to control

Weakness: Only four tables, camera angles aren't great

Pure Pinball is a good pinball game, but is disappointing in that there are only four tables to play on. Thus, the game gets boring fast. You'll get pretty dizzy as you experiment with the different camera angles (there are a few) but I finally got used to following the ball around the TV screen. The one nice thing is that the physics of the ball are very accurate, so it moves like you would expect a pinball to move. Overall, not a bad game for the price.

A Fun Pinball Game For Xbox

Strengths: Interesting Table Design, Online Rankings

Weakness: Only 4 Tables

Pure Pinball is a decent representation of pinball for XBox. You select one of four tables and then try to get the highest score possible. The tables all have interesting deigns and the game play feels like a real pinball machine. There are also online rankings to post your high scores and compare them to other players. The main weakness of the game is that there are only four tables. This hurts the replay value of the game. Pure Pinball is worth checking out for all pinball fans.

Pure Pinball

Strengths: Nice graphics, low price

Weakness: Only 4 tables, so little replay value, no multiplayer, so even less replay value, poor camera angles

This is a budget game, and I hate to be down on it, but the budget game standard seems to be very low. This game makes a very good attempt at a pinball simulator, but it's just a pinball game. There isn't any multiplayer and there is only four tables. The game get's very stale too quickly for it's own good, and regardless of the budget price, you will feel like you have overspent. If you are dying to play pinball, try to find an actual pinball machine (I know, very difficult to do these days), only after failing at that attempt, try this game.

They tried hard to make a great pinball game but not...

Strengths: Beautiful graphics, beginner-friendly gameplay, value retail price

Weakness: No multiplayer modes, limited online support, only four tables, camera issues, long load times, limited extras, no attractive women (as featured on the box art), repetitive gameplay gets old quickly

Pure Pinball is a budget game at a budget price. Some people like to say that you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's a fairly true statement.

Pure Pinball gives you a simple, easy-to-play pinball game with just four tables and no multiplayer modes. You can upload your high scores to Xbox Live to see how you compare to the competition, but you can't actually compete head-to-head with anyone.

On the positive side, the game plays well enough and looks good enough doing it that you'll actually wish there were more to the game than there is. However with just four tables to play through as a single player, it won't be long before you've seen all it has to offer.

If you're a pinball fan, Crave's Pinball Hall of Fame offers a much longer and more varied gameplay experience, but if you simply want some inexpensive pinball action, Pure Pinball can keep you entertained for a few hours.

Pure Pinball

Strengths: A good pinball game

Weakness: Just a pinball game

It's a very good pinball game. The problem is it's only a pinball game with no multiplayer. This game is pretty fun, the graphics are actually great. It's just...boring because there's nothing to really do besides play pinball. It's excellent pinball, but how long can you play it for?

Pure Pinball

Strengths: Easy to pick up and play, decent graphics and sound effects, online rankings, cheap

Weakness: Limited tables, generic music, unsatisfactory camera angles, ultimately boring

Only a couple of pinball games are available for the Xbox, and each carries a bargain price. Unfortunately, Pure Pinball just isn't very much fun to play beyond an hour or two. Nothing about the game will really grab your attention; this is a budget game through and through. Pure Pinball might be a decent purchase for the casual Xbox gamer, but those after an authentic pinball experience should head to the local arcade.

Pure Pinball

Strengths: Online scoreboards.

Weakness: Only four tables, bad load times, and it's not too much fun.

If you're really into pinball, you might like this game. However, there are better pinball games out there, and one could argue that nothing could come close to replicating the feel of really playing on a machine. It's not too expensive, and if you really get into it the Live scoreboards can be addictive, but it's hard to get into a game like this.

Recommended only for die-hard pinball fans who've already finished with all pinball machines in their area, and already destroyed Pinball Hall of Fame.

Pure Pinball

There aren't a lot of pinball games on Xbox. In fact, there's only one -- XS Games' Pure Pinball. Good news for pinball fans, however, as XS and developer Iridon Interactive have done a nice job of recreating the overall atmosphere of an arcade pinball machine, with realistic physics and ambient arcade noises. However, that doesn't mean Pure Pinball is the pinball Halo killer we all hoped it...
