untold legends compared to world of warcraftStrengths: it is kind of like world of warcraft where u have to level up to get new attacks. if u like world of warcraft then get untold legends 1 and 2 Weakness: the graphics are not the best but there ok. the game is a very good game but you level really fast. the best part about it is that u can get better and better weapons, from monsters. overall this is a great game defidently a good buy. Hack and SlashStrengths: Good length campaign Weakness: Random item creation, high load times, Repetative If you're looking for the oppertunity to run around butchering things, this might be a good game for you. Pick a class from one of the ones provided and then choose skills nad collect weapons and items as you hack your way through a whole series of dungeons. The storyline is basic, and mostly a pretense to go kill everything at the next dungeon or stage. As you level you gain skill points which you can put toward improving a variety of abilities based on your class. You can also improve your attributes which will give you more HP, or damage or 'magic'. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sony Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code (PSP)Strengths: (1) Solid, if mindless, hack-n-slash game Weakness: (1) Long load times (2) New features are worthless (transformations and charge attacks) (3) Too simple to be engaging for very long Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code is the sequel to the successful PSP entry Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. While it provides many improvements over its predecessor, there are many missteps along the way. There are a number of attempts to improve the game play over the last version, however, these improvements are often not fully implemented or come of as just plain "broken". For instance, this version ditches the randomly generated dungeons of the previous game, however, the "hand crafted" dungeon designs are pretty weak and plain. Likewise, the fighting is supposed to be more engaging with the addition of creature transformations and charge attacks, however, the charge attacks work only a fraction of the time and the creature transformations are equally underpowered/useless. The story is passable and provides a means of tying together the action, however, the character models do not hold up when enlarged in the cut scenes. Unfortunately, the load times are also very long which is a major drawback for a portable game. Though this game can be found at a reasonable price, only hard-core fans of the "grinding" hack-n-slash RPG genre need apply. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

A slight improvement over Brotherhood of the Blade....Strengths: New online multiplayer modes, lengthy campaign Weakness: Generic combat, lackluster story Stateside PSP owners had only Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade to play in the hack and slash RPG area during the system launch window a few years back. Since then a good variety of traditional and hack and slash role-playing games have been released for PSP. Warrior's Code does improve on its predecessor, but it's not all that genre fans may have hoped for. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Untold Legends 2 for the PSPStrengths: +easy pick up/play +customizable player +decent story +character transformation Weakness: -long load times -stand over view bad graphics -unimpressive -bad combat (hack/slash) -no strategy really needed Untold Legends returns to the PSP with The Warrior’s Code. Players are able to customize their character. This ranges from choosing what type of warrior to different costume configurations. Players battle through dungeons slaying various foes, and collecting weapons/armor along the way. Players also have the ability to turn into a fierce powerful monster, simply fill up the essence meter to do so. Similar to the Activision Marvel RPG games, Untold Legends employs an overhead camera. Very good gameStrengths: Graphics. Simplistic to learn but many options that increases the fun factor. Weakness: Long loading times. Can get repetitive. If you like games where you slash the enemies and pick up objects that makes you stronger, this is your game. But it goes beyond that. Rich graphics and online play makes it much more enticing. Spent many hours playing without setting it down. It can get addictive. Worth buying for this genre. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code
I must admit that I never expected the RPG genre to play an integral part in the handheld console industry. The “pick up ‘n go” mentality associated with portable gaming conflicts with a role-playing game type requiring many hours of commitment and patience. Sony Online Entertainment, however, felt confident in its release of Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade, a hack n’ slash RPG... Top

Untold Legends Warrior's Code
Strengths: Decent follow-up to the original PSP game with some key improvements
Weakness: Mostly just more of the same - a fairly shallow dungeon hack
The original Untold Legends was a pretty straightforward dungeon hack that showcased the brand new PSP's graphics and sound capabilities. As such, it was a pretty decent game. Warrior's Code improves on the original in many ways, but in the end it is just not as impressive as it would have been when the PSP first came out. It includes voiced cut scenes and better production values all around. It also features online multiplayer. The story is more fleshed out and the graphics are improved. However, the core of the game is still a button-mashing dungeon crawler. Many better games have been released for the PSP since the original Untold Legends was released making this sequel, though better in just about every way that the original, not stand out particularly well from the competition.
