Driver 3

Great graphics, excitement and more. Driver 3 has it all. From the ability to drive all around town to shooting, Driver 3 lives up to its reputation. Everyone with a PS2 should buy it. I definitely recommend this game.

This game is kinda bad . theres is lots of bugs & the missions are boring too . also the control of the car is the worst !!! maybe the best thing of it is to Take a ride and smash some cars .

Driv3r

Strengths: Storyline, Cool Cars, CG Sequences

Weakness: A lot of trial-and-error is necessary for some levels. Also the camera is horrible on foot

The game starts off with some nice CG sequences and the storyline is pretty good as the game progresses. Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is not as good. While some of the levels are fun, others can be quite frustating due to camera angles and computer AI (which is almost non-existent in some situations). Since Driv3r is meant to be a driving game, it seems a lot of effort was put into developing it. The crash sequences are nice and the driving isn't too awful (it could use a little improvement, but for the type of game it is, it's sufficient). However, the on-foot action is pretty bad. Nothing is fluid and many actions are inconsistent.
If you enjoy games like GTA or Driver 1 & 2 and don't mind a glitch here or there, you won't mind playing this game. However, if technical glitches bug you to no end... stay far far away.

What went wrong?

Strengths: Voice acting

Weakness: Almost everything is bad

For a game caller "Driver" one would expect lots of well polished driving game-play, but not in Driver 3. The best was to describe the car control is "stylish" which means almost out of control mushy movement and very little feedback. The driving parts of the game are very simple and the police AI is even dumber. The out-of-car gameplay seems to be tacked on and is really boring. The game tried to be too much like GTA. Overall the sound effects are bland, the best feature of thie game is the all-star voice acting cast with several well known Hollywood actors leading their voices to a wooden and boring story.

Strange Title. Disappointing Game

Strengths: Good graphics, decent gameplay, not much else.

Weakness: Disappointing on most accounts.

Delay after delay hoped to allow for the Driv3r team to deliver a solid game, but it was just doomed from the start. The game looks nice, as there's plenty of detail and damage that the cars can show, but when the rest of the game just isn't all that fun, it's hard to enjoy it. Awkward controls don't add to the game, and makes the new action-based shooting missions harder than they should be. Only buy or rent this game if you're a Driver fan. Otherwise, there's better choices out there.

Driver 3

Strengths: Music, voice acting, decent graphics

Weakness: Controls, poor AL and bad level designs

This game may have been great before GTA, but today it is a GTA wanna-be. I like the graphics and sound, but I dislike the controls. The level designs are poorly laid out, which causes you to repeat the levels over. A bonus is the mini-games are ok. Pick the "old" GTA3 over this newer title and save some bucks and anger.

Driver 3

Strengths: Cinematics and production values.

Weakness: Shooting portions are bad.

Unfortunately, this game is style over substance. They put a lot of time into the production values in terms of the graphics and sound, lending to some cinematic cut scenes and a celebrity voice cast. The huge, detailed maps are a plus as is the realistic crash effects and damage modeling.

However, the effort is severely lacking in terms of gameplay. The controls are hardly fine-tuned and many of the missions feel uninspired. Most annoying however is the poor draw distance. It hardly feels immersive when the horizon keeps popping in. Also, unless you have a fairly large t.v. screen the objective markers can be hard to see lending for severe frustration. Worst of all though is the clunky shooting segments.

Driver 3

Strengths: Some strenghts in this game are the graphics and sounds but thats pretty much it.

Weakness: This game has tons of defaults.I do not like the controls in this game the driving is awful and the missions are real boring.

overall I find this game sucks!!!They should have put more cities and more cars in the game.another thing that bothered me was i found this game was like a bad version of grantheftauto I was a big fan of the first 2 driver games but after playing this one I didnt see the resemblence between the first 1 and this 1

Driver 3

Strengths: Super Realistic cut scenes and crash effects

Weakness: It's a driving game not a shooter

The driving aspect of Driv3r is awesome, The Cars are beautiful with great crash effects and you can steal any car you want (A-la GTA Style). In addition to there being a 'Take A Drive' Mode (Freeroam), The game also has a great 'movie maker mode' where you play director to your most gruesome crashes. It's a fun game that spans three giant levels. When done with the main game, Take a Drive is what to do next. Although not as much to do like in GTA, it's still fun. The Shooting portion, well, it's not as fun as the driving portion.

DRIV3R

One of my favorite things to do with my friends a few years ago of course was to play PS on weekends, staying up late and going through any number of driving, sports, or action titles throughout a Saturday and Sunday evening. One of these that I particularly enjoyed was the original Driver, as I remember friends and I would constantly try to see who could use the glitches the best and do things...
