FAR CRY INSTINCTS EVOLUTION

Strengths: different ways to dispatch ur enemies, such as weapons or traps or ur super powers

Weakness: island and jungle settings begins to look the same after a while in subsequent levels

FAR CRY INSTINCTS EVOLUTION is a first person shooter for the xbox. It is the sequel to the previous Far Cry game and continues the story of Jack Carver, a merc who gets experimented on and gains certain superhuman capabilities. U are able to track down enemies like an animal predator, by smell and also attack with super strength and claw attacks. U can also super jump and set traps around the island. There are also a variety of guns to choose from , from machine guns to sniper rifles. U are also able to drive different vehicles like a quad bike and a jet ski. The gameplay is pretty good and the graphics have been improved over the original, which already looked pretty amazing for its time. The controls are spot on and the enemy AI is pretty smart, since enemy soldiers can now retreat or flank u or call for assistance, depending on the situation at hand. Such intelligent adaptive countermeasures really amps up the gameplay experience and makes it more realistic and fun. I really recommend this game.

Evolution: the new work for Expansion pack. . .

Strengths: New campaign, new multiplayer modes, solid graphics, budget price

Weakness: Weak storyline, short overall length, respawning enemies

While the original Far Cry Instincts had a solid single campaign and okay multiplayer modes, Evolution goes in the opposite direction with a much stronger multiplayer segment and a much weaker campaign.

Unfortunately, series fans will have seen most of what Evolution has to offer before, and the single player campaign is only half the length of the original. On the other hand, several new multiplayer maps and modes are available, and user-created maps are supported.

Fans of the original Far Cry Instincts and multiplayer modes will like what Evolution has to offer. It originally hit retail stores for $30 but can be found much cheaper these days. Players new to the series will want to get the original game first, but for $10 or under, Evolution provides a reasonable diversion on its own.
