My Son Thinks This Game Is Awesome!

Strengths: Graphics and fighting

Weakness: None so far

I purchased this game for my 8 year old son. He thinks this is one of the best games for Star Wars. There are many different levels and he can change into different characters which he likes a lot. He beat all the levels of the game in about 2 weeks but was ready to start all over again and he has not become tired of it at all. He highly recommends this game.

Battlefront II

Strengths: Graphics and battles

Weakness: Repetitive

Star Wars Battlefront II builds upon the popular Battlefront game and gives you more of the same. You get to play the epic Star Wars battles but after playing a while, it feels like the previous game. Nevertheless, it's still a good game with great entertainment value, especially if you are a Star Wars fan. Graphics is rich and music is great. Recommended!

Quick Paced Shooter

Strengths: star wars license, outerspace battles

Weakness: frantic battles, kind of hard

Battlefront 2 isn't that much different from the first game so I wasn't too impressed with it.

The on ground battles still have a frantic, quick pacing. I thought it was a bit too busy and found myself getting killed and respawing after a few minutes of playing.

The best parts of the game are probably the space battles. In these you fly an aircraft but then you can dock into the enemies ships and fight/sabotage their ships from the inside. It's a pretty cool idea.

Jedi's are also playable but they're not very cool or all that powerful. In a game where the enemy is constantly running around trying to blast you from different angles, playing the game with a jedi who's weapon is a lightsaber isn't very fun.

Get Battlefront 2 if you haven't played the first or if you're a really big fan of Star Wars, otherwise I'd say skip it.

Star Wars Battlefront II (PS2)

Strengths: Epic battles, graphics

Weakness: Short game

Star Wars Battlefront II is basically a shooter game set in various Star Wars epic battles. This sequel expands the battles of the original game but does not add much to it in terms of gaming. It is just more of the same formula from the original game. Rather repetitive at times.

The game is rather short. You can probably finish it in an weekend. It's a good rental or if you can get it cheap.

Star Wars Battlefront II

Strengths: Fun game, not too complex, lots of character choices

Weakness: Don't expect a whole lot out of the game

Battlefront II is a fairly simplistic game. It's a shooter with Star Wars characters. The game is pretty fun and easy to play/control. The campaigns and different missions manage to help change things up enough to where you don't feel like you're playing the same mission over and over again.

Overall, I'd recommend this for anyone who's got the urge to play a shooter, but doesn't have the time to get enveloped into a long drawn out story.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

Strengths: Fun shooter, good storyline

Weakness: Pretty short game, multiplayer isn't that great

Battlefront II basically take the original, adds new armies, maps, and weapons. The basic formula remains exactly the same and the gameplay just isn't different enough to make it stand out from it's predecessor. The game IS fun when you first play, but after playing through a couple missions in the campaign, you quickly begin to grow tired of the repetitiveness of the maps and AI. Overall, I'd recommend giving this game a rental on a long rainy weekend.

Good But Really Just More of The Same

Strengths: Lots of Different Type of Characters, Controls

Weakness: Single Player Mode Is Rather Simple, Could Have Expanded More Over The First Game

Star Wars Battlefront II is a 3rd person (or 1st person) shooter that puts you in the middle of a big battle within the Star Wars universe. While it is a lot of fun it is fairly one sided. The single player game isn't really too involving so once it's over their really isn't much to do expect play the levels over and better so if done in multiplayer. They surely could have expanded more in the gameplay for the single player mode in order to make it deeper. They did add some new elements to the battles such as being able to play as a saber carrying Jedi and on some boards being able to enter new flying vehicles.

I would recommend Star Wars Battlefront II to fans of the first game as long as they know what to expect and it's ok with them that it's more of the same almost as if it's just new level on the first Battlefront game.

A great game, but not much innovation

Strengths: fills in gaps left out of the movies

Weakness: It is battlefront with more levels

If you are a fan of the original battlefront, you will like this game. It can become a bit repetitive if you have played the first game. I like the story of the 501st, since it bridges the gap between the movies. I would strongly recommend this game to Star Wars fans.

Star War Battlefront 2

Strengths: Star Wars, Awesome shooter, fun levels, online play, challenging

Weakness: None!

This game is similar to the first one but with different levels. The vehicles are always fun to play in. The online play makes this game even more awesome. A must have for Star War or shoot-em-up fans.
