MLB 2005 (ps2)
To say that the gaming press was brutal last year when it described 989 Sports' first PlayStation 2 baseball title MLB 2004 would be a gross understatement; as its reception was actually far worse than that. Plagued rather terribly with an abundance of gameplay bugs, poorly tuned A.I. routines, and the worst visuals of any game in the category, MLB 2004 was so ill received by professional sports... Top

MLB 2005 (ps2)
989 Sports has had some rough outings in recent years, and -- as fate would have it -- I've been there to witness and document most of them. Last year's MLB 2004 might have been the biggest nightmare of them all -- more than two years in the making and a disappointment on almost every level. MLB 2005 for the PlayStation2 from 989 Sports is one of the more player-friendly baseball titles to take the turn at first base in years. The game is so customizable that players will find themselves tailoring the game play easily to suit their skill and comfort levels.... Top

A decent baseball game
Strengths: Good graphics
Weakness: No tutor section
This is a very nice baseball game. It has all the teams and players that I recongize. Maybe the crowds look a little bit silly when they are cheering (very united movement), the overall graphics are nice and run smoothly. This is the first baseball game that I decided to give it a shot and I found it does not have a teaching section for beginner while most of games in the market have. One of my friends likes their authentic stadiums very much and asked me point out this part.
