Racing at it's best!

Strengths: One of the best racing games ever made. Online and system link play.

Weakness: none. Perfect racing game.

Rallisport Challenge 2 is one of the best racing games ever made. It is basically perfect and offers everything you would want from a video game. First off, the graphics, sound, and gameplay are perfect. Everything from the first Rallisport Challenge has been perfected. This is the best ralli game on the market. That being said, it's the extra features of this game that make it so great. First, it's online AND has downloadable content. Next it has customizable sountracks AND system link play for 1-16 players. The bottom line is that this game is actually fun to play unlike some ralli racing games. Even if you don't like ralli games or racing games in general, you will love Rallisport Challenge 2.

Great sequel. Not too bad of a game on it's own,...

Strengths: The focus on rally races (see weaknesses), fairly big Live community and amazing graphics.

Weakness: The focus on rally races and no track races (see strengths), minor technical issues, not too realistic, lack of customizations, no simulation aspects.

Very fun game to play with friends on Xbox Live... but a little boring to play on your own. You can get this game for very cheap virtually anywhere, and it's worth the price. I wouldn't suggest paying anything over $20, however. If you want to pay anything over the realm of $20, shell out the $50 for Forza Motorsport.

As for the game, and as mentioned earlier, it can be a blast online, but you have some unlocking to do -- and that can be a little lame, as you have to play the single-player portion of the game, which I can only take for a few minutes at a time before I get bored / frustrated.

The sole focus on rally races is a blessing and a curse, for obvious reasons. I think the game would have been better balanced if it did have a few ring tracks or something.

The graphics were a surprise to me, as they were very above average.

No simulation aspects, either. Just a flat-out arcade racer, which is good and bad.

In my opinion, if you had to pick between Forza Motorsport or this, I'd pick Forza -- then again, RalliSport Challenge 2 is so cheap that you could buy both.

RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Not truely realistic

Rallisport Challenge 2 offers a lot of fun for racing fans. Although it doesn't fully simulate the true rally experience, it's still fun to play, especially with friends in the multiplayer mode. The graphics and sound are both very good and helps you enjoy the game.

RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Superb graphics and sound, realistic racing, excellent multiplayer value

Weakness: Poor rally simulation

Microsoft RalliSport Challenge 2 lives up to the reputation built by its predecessor -- and then some! You'll be blown away by the detailed visual and auditory realism of both the cars and the racing environments. Realistic weather effects and racing physics cap off this very well-rounded game.

The biggest reason to buy RSC2, even if you have the original, is the full featured multiplayer modes. The first RalliSport Challenge supported up to four players in split-screen mode on a single Xbox. RSC2 retains the multiplayer excitement of the original but with full support for Xbox Live! and split-screen mode over System Link.

The only drawback for RSC2 is lack of deep, true rally simulation features. If you're looking for a pure rally simulation, this is not the game for you. However, if you're looking for pure FUN, this game delivers!

RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Fantastic graphics, great sounds, excellent car models, great online play

Weakness: Not for the rally racing simulator fan

Rallisport Challenge 2 fixes some of the small issues with the previous title, adding in much more for the racing fan. The graphics have been nicely improved and look fantastic, with realistic cars, tracks and weather effects. The sounds have also been upgraded, adding to the realistic feel of the game.

Online play has been added to the game, allowing for single player action, or multiplayer action via XBL, adding to the replay value of the game.

Unlike the first game, the game is more arcade racer than racing sim, though it's a very small issue for most racing game fans. Only the diehards might look for a more sim-like experience.

Any racing fan should get this game, even for the sim-minded racer, for its look, feel and online play capabilities.

RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Topnotch graphics & sound, ultra-smooth frame rate, tight controls, excellent damage modeling

Weakness: May be too unrealistic for rally purists

RalliSport Challenge 2, like it predecessor, is such a fantastic game that even those with no interest in rally racing can still enjoy it. The graphics have improved exponentially (words truly cannot describe the magnificent sights), while the inclusion of online play and crossover races greatly bolsters the gameplay. You can jump right in and tear up the tracks or opt to spend some time modifying the performance of any of the many licensed cars (it's a shame you can't decorate them, though). Only those looking for a pure simulation of rally racing will be disappointed by the down-and-dirty driving in RalliSport Challenge 2!

Rally racing

Strengths: Excellent graphics, great tracks.

Weakness: Poor music, limited control settings.

This is by far the nicest looking rally racing game around. The cars are all super detailed with very well done dirt and damage effects. Additionally, all the tracks are very detailed and realistic.
I liked the controls very much, not too much simulation, just an arcade feel, and easy to use. Of all the various modes I enjoyed multiplayer the most, or modes that involve more than one car racing. The weakest part of the game is the music, but that is easy to solve by putting in your own music.
This game and Burnout 3 are probably the best two racing game to get for the Xbox.

Microsoft RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Nice blend of Arcade and RalliSport racing

Weakness: Not many people play it on Xbox Live, Purists won't like it

Microsoft RalliSport Challenge 2 is definitely one of the best 4 racing games available for the Xbox (Forza, PGR2, and Burnout 3 are the others) that brings its unique style of RalliSport racing to the Xbox. The game has a ton of fun rallisport tracks and provides a nice blend of arcade driving action along with cool features like weather changes and traction on different surfaces. Xbox Live seems like it would be a lot fun as well, but there aren't many people online for this game. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a driving game under $20.

RalliSport Challenge 2

Strengths: Great graphics and sound, nice variety of cars and types of races, good car physics and online play.

Weakness: Only contains rally races (as the title implies) and no hardcore simulation aspects.

If you're looking for a different brand of racing, different from the GT4s or Forzas of the world, then Rallisport Challenge 2 is the game to get. It's just plain fun racing. While it's incredibly deep, the learning curve isn't too high like the other more complex racing titles so you'll be spending more time enjoying the race rather then trying to learn something from scratch. There are a nice variety of licensed car, their physics are great and you can actually do a lot of damage to them. The graphics look sweet and while the soundtrack is just average, there's always the option to rip your own tracks with the custom soundtrack feature. Finally, there's the online mode where you can spend even more time challenging fellow Xbox Live foes. If you're looking for a change of pace or find other simulation racing games boring, then you'll love Rallisport Challenge 2.

Best semi-realistic Xbox racing game

Strengths: Cross between arcade and simulation controls, incredibly detailed graphics, fun variety of tracks/environments

Weakness: None

Xbox racing titles like Need for Speed Underground, Midnight Club 3 and the Burnout series are a blast, but if you're looking for something a little more realistic and challenging, try Rallisport Challenge 2. Don't get me wrong Forza Motorsport and Toca Race Driver 2 are great titles as well, but they're a tad too difficult for those who are used to arcade racing. If you don't care about exact physics and simulation, Rallisport Challenge is a nice compromise. The variety of situations such as Rally, Rallicross and Ice Racing and absolutely stunning graphics make this title a must have Xbox racer. The controls are perfect - not too frustrating for those used to the ease of something like Burnout, but a challenge to learn that you must slow down and use braking if you want to succeed. Definately recommended!!

Rallisport Challenge 2

It has been a long time since I first hopped into my favorite rally car, put the pedal to the metal, and covered my competitor's windshield with dirt. RalliSport Challenge may not have been the most true-to-life racing experience, but it was by far the most fun. The graphics were more than enough to get you to rent the game, and I'm sure a lot of gamers bought it for that reason. Graphics lose...

RalliSport Challenge 2

Rally racing fans should have a ball with this one. It isn't as realistic as the Colin McRae games, but thats ok because RSC2 is a heck of a lot more fun. If you are a fan of racing games, give RalliSport Challenge 2 a try. Even if you haven't liked rally games in the past, RSC2 offers fun arcade style gameplay that is sure to win you over.

RalliSport Challenge 2 (xbox)

Two years ago RalliSport Challenge tore up a young little console known as Xbox. Back then there was no Xbox Live to support and few racers to be compared to, but that's not the case anymore. Don't worry, RalliSport Challenge 2 has aged well with crisp graphics, better sound, a more robust career mode, and 16-player online racing. If you're looking for an arcade racer, look no further, the...
