Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

Strengths: Entertaining and educational, very in-depth gameplay, not your run-of-the-mill game

Weakness: Lots of things to worry about/control to keep the game moving

Friends of Mineral Town is a game that covers the management of a farm, and life as a farmer. Working through tilling the crops, watering them, cleaning out rocks and weeds, raising livestock, and many other parts of running a farm are covered in this game. Finding a spouse and raising children are also part of this game. It's extremely well detailed on the gameplay, and it's very educational, as well. It's also linkable to the Gamecube version of the game, through a link cable.

It's a very different game, and some people might not want to have to deal with all the small things that need to happen to keep the gameplay going.

For anyone that wants a truly unique and different game, this is one well worth looking into.

Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

Strengths: Addicting Gameplay! 1 of The Best Sims Game for the game Boy advance! Nice chrisp Graphic for Gabe Boy! Just as much fun as the other Harvest moon Game!

Weakness: Not as much festival as the Nintendo 64 version. Expensive still after a year old game.

This is currently the latest version of the popular Harvest Moon series for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. It same the old, but with lots of new addition. Well to put it this way, This game is a farming Simulation game, yes it may sound boring, but this game does it so well with story & gameplay. it becomes very addicting. Watering the crops, feeding the animals, yard work, collecting the chicken eggs, and then finding a litle spare time left in the day to date the girls in town could be stressful but when done rite its just feels pretty good.

Pros: Best version of the game so far on the Game boy, Steller graphic, decent soundtrack, addicting gameplay, being able to rasie a child this time around. being able to connect to Nintendo gamecube for Towns interaction.

Cons: Not as many festival as the past version. More town character development could make this game more great.

Overall: *** 4 OUTTA 5 STARS ***

Harvest moon

Strengths: the game is unique and unlike any other games out there. good graphics, interesting gameplay and very addicting.

Weakness: the game gets boring after playing it for awhile. once you get married, the game gets dull.

harvest moon is a game like no other. you are a farmer who wants to keep the farm alive. so basically you get to plant crops, raise livestock while trying to get marry. you have five girls to choose from, each having different personality. you are also trying to befriend the town and build friendship with everyone. there are also many things you can do like cook, fish, mine etc.

the only bad thing is that the game is fun in the beginning when you're working hard to earn money and get married. once you obtain the money and the wife, there's not much to do.

Handheld Holiness

Strengths: Everything except the lack of drunk Karen

Weakness: No drunk Karen

Friends of Mineral Town is basically a port of Back to Nature without the atrocious loading, making it possibly the best Harvest Moon game to date. There are tons of secrets and goals to achieve, and since the game is flat out addictive, it will keep you busy for a long time. It is a must have for fans of the series or similar games, like Animal Crossing.

Actually, there is a scene where Karen gets drunk. Check out one of her events, also known as the "Wine Duel." This is when Karen and Duke have a bet on who can drink more, and at the end Karen leaves very drunk and Doug asks you to take Duke home to his house.

If only real farmers had this much fun.

Strengths: Fun with farming! Lots of gameplay value. Great for on the Go.

Weakness: None.

Friends of Mineral Town is more of a life sim where you farm. You goal is basically to be a sucessful farmer. and you get to meet people, do things, and even get married. Because it's a simulation you can play it over again and things may be slightly different. Also, if you have Harvest Moon for the GC you cna link the two for extras.

It plays great on the GBA. However, one problem is that it's hard to put down. So it's better to play for an hour or two at a time for long trips. You cna play for a few short minutes but it can be really engaging.

But this is a great game for the GBA.

Harvest Moon GBA

Strengths: Gameplay, Story line

Weakness: None

This game is actually really good. It's another great asset to the Harvest Moon series. The story line to this game is awesome, just like the other Harvest Moon games, and the gameplay is good. I'd buy this one again.

Harvest Moon series hits GBA in a big way. . .

Strengths: Solid graphics, decent storyline, addicting gameplay, link support with GCN

Weakness: Farming simulation can bore some players, requires extended periods of play, not much to do once you've married and made some money

The Harvest Moon series of family farm simulator games has been around for several years now on full-size home consoles. However, Friends of Mineral Town allows you to take your farming fun on the road.

All of the gameplay from the console games is here. You can tend to your crops and animals and even work toward getting married and having a child. Such Sims-type gameplay is often either loved or hated by different players, so you should have a good idea of what you're getting yourself into before making a purchase here.

If you've enjoyed the console games over the years, you'll probably enjoy what this GBA game has to offer. It's the same game you loved before shrunken down to handheld size. The only downside is that there's nothing new here that you haven't see before.

Harvest Moon is at home on the Gameboy Advance

Strengths: Wide variety of gameplay types that can be enjoyed by all ages

Weakness: Farming can be tedious

Similar to all other incarnations of Harvest Moon, you play a farmer who harvests crops, interacts with other villagers, and eventually gets married. Time passes in "virtual" real-time (1 second of our time is one minute), which can seem daunting given the variety of things you can do in the game. There's almost too much to keep track of, but that feeling of always having something to do in the game is what makes it such a great value and provides ample replay opportunities. Harvest Moon was made to be played on the go, and now it has found its home on the Gameboy Advance.

Harvest Moon GBA

Strengths: Tons to do, Gamecube Connectivity, Clean Fun

Weakness: May get tedious

I had never played a previous Harvest Moon title so I was anxious to try this Gameboy Advance iteration. I was shocked by the sheer amount of tasks contained on the cartridge, and the game was much more engrossing than I thought it would be. The graphics suffice and are very cute, as is the music. The only problem is the game can become tedious, but that wasn't really an issue for me. As an added extra, it offers connectivity with its Nintendo Gamecube sibling. Recommended for fans of Animal Crossing on Gamecube.

Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

Who knew farming could be so much fun? Natsume has once again taken a job, that while rewarding, is also a difficult and often boring chore, and turned it into an engrossing game on the GameBoy Advance. It's time to visit the farm again in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. This is the fourth outing for Harvest Moon on a handheld, and offers basically the same mix of strategy and simulation...

Harvest Moon FriendsMineral Town

Despite being over seven years old, the Harvest Moon franchise still occupies a unique niche in gaming. There are no monsters to slay, no terrorists to fight, no jet fighters to fly, and no dungeons to crawl; in Harvest Moon your job is simply to run a family farm. Planting crops, milking cows, and feeding the chickens are actually part of gameplay. So is getting along with the townspeople and...

Harvest Moon FriendsMineral Town

With the dozens of games releasing within the months of November and December, it would have to take a very special game to draw my attention away for an entire weekend of non-stop gaming. Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town is that game. The game made a decent splash on the Game Boy and Game Boy Color, but no handheld version is as deep as what Natsume has put into the Game Boy Advance...
