Fatal Frame 2

Strengths: Scary as hell, cool idea, fun game play

Weakness: N/A

Warning- this game is not for the easily scared, young children or anyone with heart conditions.

Want to be scared? Want to play a game that you can't get enough of yet want to stay away from at the same time? Definitely pick up Fatal Frame II. The gameplay is unique and interesting as you fight off ghosts with nothing but a camera. As you go through the storyline discovering what is happening, you are spooked and scared from every direction, both when you expect it and when you don't. Sometimes it is nothing more than a ghost wisking by as you disturb it. Other times it is a ghost coming up from behind as it gets ready to completely drain your life away.

I'm telling you, if you want something fun and intriguing, this is the game for you. Just don't say I never warned you!

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly

Strengths: Unique gameplay and storyline

Weakness: Could have used more variety

Fatal Frame II is one of the more popular games to come in the survival horror genre. Playing as a pair of twin sisters, you have to find your way out of a haunted village with only a camera as your weapon. Fatal Frame's haunting storyline and creepy visuals is probably the most interesting thing about the game, it kept me going when the game's massive repetition started to kick in.

Scary as can be

Strengths: SCARY!

Weakness: Repetitive gameplay

Forget Resident Evil 4. Forget Silent Hill 4. Forget all those scary horror movies. Fatal Frame II is one of the scariest experiences to be had as a human being. With only a lone camera as your defense (heck, you're even a young girl, so you can't even fight hand to hand) you're forced to wander through dark and dreary locales, locales filled with ghosts and demons that took some truly twisted minds to create. This is NOT an experience for the faint of hear (or the young of age, do NOT play this unless you're at least 17). But for those who like to be scared silly, there is no better way than to play Fatal Frame II... the only real downside is that every other game is going to be a lot less scary once you experience this one!

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly PS2

Strengths: +Great Survival Horror game

Weakness: - None

This is a great survival horror game. Skill level is low and gameplay is awesome. I picked this up with Siren and this game is 100x better. Great game for the horror survival gamer to pick up.

The way scary should be!

Strengths: Heart-stopping events and non-plot bumps and things moving make it more engrossing.

Weakness: Going here to go back there to go here again and somewhere else can tend to get repetitive. However, it is helpfull to know your surroundings in the game, so it's only mildly annoying.

Played this one first with the wife, who had never played anything not on Pogo.com, and she'd throw the controller at me when particularly scary things were creeping at her. More than once, we both jumped and grabbed onto each other at the spooks!

The sickening noises they make, and the horrible deformities that they have gets your heart racing trying to get the camera up at them and not let them touch you! Get a back-up controller in case the you tense up too much and crack it!

Gore and violence needs to go to the wayside, this is what horror is all about, not Final Destination movies and the like.

Sequel to Scariest Game EVER

Strengths: Again, like the first game, it is one of the most scary game experiences ever

Weakness: Graphics aren't as strong as they should be for current games

Like the first game in the series - Fatal Frame II is one of the most inventive and scary games in the survival horror genre. This time around you are playing as a set of two little girls, again armed with a special camera to fend off evil. The storyline works just as well as the first game, and leaves you scared out of your wits throughout the whole game.

The only weaknesses that I can mention are the graphics, which are subpar only because of comparison to other current games, and some repetitiveness. However, just when you think it is too repetitive, something pops up and scares you back into gear.
Recommended!

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly

Strengths: Awesome story, great thrills, lasting memory

Weakness: DOesn't support modern technology (widescreen, progressive scanning, etc), some graphics look poor on good TV's

If you ever played (and liked) Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Clock Tower, or any other survival horror game... you'll absolutely love (and yet hate) Fatal Frame 2 with a passion. From the moment the game begins, you'll be immersed in a world where spooks and scares will go beyond anything you've eer experienced. The visual and audio queues and subtleties go well beyond the expectations of the genre.

Armed with a camera, you're job is to vanquish the souls of the deceased while trying to uncover the mysteries of the storyline. The story is very well done and the gameplay mechanics are easy to use.

The only bad thing about this title is the fact that the graphics are fairly lacking. Because most of the gameplay takes place in the shadows, this isn't that big of a deal. But play on a large TV and you'll really notice some of the problems.

Overall, this is by far the scariest game I've ever seen. There are several endings to the game, so assuming you can take the scares more than once, feel free to play over and over!

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly PS2

Strengths: Atmosphere, sound, and different appraoch at a survival horror game.

Weakness: Combat takes getting used too and graphics could have been better.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly is a survival horror game for PS2. You play as two twins who use their camera as a weapon against ghosts. The atmosphere and sound effects in this game draw you into a scary ghost filled world that you will enjoy more alone with the lights off. The first Fatal Frame is still better than this Fatal Frame.

Give the game 3 stars for being a decent survival horror game.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly PS2

Strengths: great story

Weakness: can be too scary

Fatal Frame 2 is the lastest in the FF series. Unlike most survival horror, you have to take pictures of the ghost. The GC movies are amazing and are some of the best on PS2. My only complain is that the game can be too scary to play alone at night.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly PS2

Strengths: Great Stroyline! Good Graphic! Amazing CG Movie...

Weakness: Xbox version is heard to be better... I'll review that one later...

Fatal Frame 2 for playstation 2 is the prequel to the 1st game that takes place about 40 years back I believe. So there is no need to play the 1st game to understand this storyline. This agme is like resident evil horror, but beside zombies and monsters, you fight ghost instead.

Pros: Beautiful amazing graphic! Very interesting storyline, Using A camera as a weapon is a great idea instead of the gun toting resident evil games, CG movies is just Awesome something to fall in love with. Game is Super Scary!

Cons: Load times sucks! Camera angle gets in the way sometimes, Xbox version is better I heard with extra feature as well.

Overall: ***4 OUTTA 5 STARS*** "SCARY GAME! I wouldn't dare play this game in the dark"

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly

OK, I’m man enough to admit that I get scared at movies and videogames, even at 29. I was terrified the first time I watched Night of the Living Dead (I was 11 at the time though), I got scared in a couple of movies as I got older like The Others and Burial Ground, and up until recently I really never thought that a video game could be truly scary. Well, Resident Evil changed all that, and I...
