This is the best game for all ages, super action and it mimics the first 3 Star Wars movies perfectly. The best is that if you kill or destroy anything, its just a bunch of Lego pieces and no damage done.........

A Great Game for Family

Strengths: One of the best starwars game.

Weakness: None.

If you are a starwars fan, you should not miss this game. You can choose one of your favorite characters from the first three episodes of starwars movie. As a jedi, you can use a lightsaber as well as force to battle droids. Since everything is built by blocks, nothing is really destroyed and it can be rebuit. Although the play simply follows the movie, it has been one of our favorite for the family.

Lego Star Wars

Strengths: Fun frantic combat

Weakness: Lacking in depth

Lego Star Wars is a fantastic kids game, or a game to play with others that might not usually play games. It's fun and very easy to get into. However, it is lacking in depth, so if you tire of running around hacking up droids with a lightsaber, there's not much else for you to get out of it. It's generally faithful to the Star Wars story.

Must Have If You Are a Starwars Fan

Strengths: Play as all your favorite Star Wars characters from Episodes I-III movies. Fly spaceships, use the force, and blast your way through any obstacle, and you can't die!

Weakness: There is none.

In Lego Star Wars you can play through the storyline from Episodes I-III. You can fight as jedi, troopers, and pilot vehicles! If you get killed, you just get reassembled. Control over 30 charcters and use the force to move obstacles and transform lego objects. It combines Star Wars and Lego to form an awesome game. Use studs to buy items and characters to use in battle.

Prequel Lego Trilogy

Strengths: Mix n match between various characters.

Weakness: Short game

Although kids certainly do enjoy Lego Star wars, it's a game that adults often enjoy just as much. This volume covers the Prequel Trilogy. The co-op most is quite a bit of fun as well. Players can choose from a fairly wide cast of characters, Unfortunately the game is rather short. Even so, the game is definitely worth picking up now that the price is $20.

Strengths: It's Star Wars! it's Legos!

Weakness: It may be a bit too easy...

This game is fantastic... period. 5 Stars... you... go... buy... now! Truly a family oriented game, it is easy to play but SO fun for those of any age, kids or not. I mean, there's a kid in all of us, right??

Seeing all of your favorite Star Wars characters in Lego form is nothign short of a riot. And Seeing them fall apart is just hilarious! Actually, seeing anything fall apart into little lego blocks is pretty funny. Even the cutscenes in the game are something you will enjoy!

Essentially an... actiony puzzle type of game, you get to use your little lego guys to fight enemies and solve puzzles. You have multiple characters at a time that you can switch between strategically, which is a really important part of the game and something that is fun to master.

If you're a fan of Star Wars, you have to pick this game up. If not, it may not hold much interest to you... but really, who ISN'T a Star Wars fan?? ;)

Better than two of the three films it's based on. . .

Strengths: Family-friendly, audio from the films, dozens of playable characters, co-op multiplayer support, high replay value

Weakness: Based on the lesser Star Wars trilogy, too easy for most people, short overall length

Lego Star Wars hit all of the home consoles (and several handhelds) in its all-out hardware blitz. You're probably aware that it combines Lego building blocks with the familiar Star Wars universe, a match seemingly made in licensing heaven. It would be pretty hard to screw this up.

Thankfully, developer Traveller's Tales does an admirable job of putting the two worlds together. While playing through Lego Star Wars takes less time than watching the three films it's based on, different playable character abilities ensure that you'll want to go back to access areas you couldn't reach before.

Kids will love Lego Star Wars, of course, and some Star Wars fans will be interested in checking it out as well. However, the mixed feelings of series fans for the new trilogy films may lose this game a few sales. The game's release as a Players Choice value title at least makes it an inexpensive purchase.

I like LEGOs, and I like Star Wars, so how about...

Strengths: a fun and humorous take on the Star Wars Episodes I-III; good co-op game; great for kids; many playable characters from the Star Wars universe (as LEGOs, naturally)

Weakness: meant for kids, so it isn't very challenging for adults; sometimes the camera can be annoying

LEGO Star Wars is loads of fun to play; it is basically simplistic button mashing, but it works well. The visuals and sounds are true to their source material. The co-op mode makes it very easy to play with a friend. All in all, it is a great game for fans of LEGOs and/or Star Wars - and probably even quite a few who don't get that excited about either (if in fact such people exist).
When a player loses all of their hearts, they simply lose some of their money ("studs" - the small, circular LEGO pieces) so it is quite easy to beat each level. Of course, getting all of the extras will take more work.
I didn't really think the difficulty level was a problem (I wouldn't like it if all games were this easy, but I wouldn't like it if all games were difficult either, so I think it works out). The camera can sometimes be annoying - the player has no control over it whatsoever, which can make it difficult to find some items.

Lego Star Wars

Strengths: Lego Star Wars is my favorite Star Wars video game yet. next to Lego Star Wars 2 that is. All right, they are both my favorites.

Weakness: None.

I got both Lego Star Wars and Lego Star Wars 2. I suggest you play with this game first before you play with Lego Star Wars 2. As in the movies, this starts off with the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. You can switch characters on the fly even when you are in battle. This is a must have for all of you Star Wars fan!!! May the force be with you!!!

Lego Star Wars 1

Strengths: Multi-player fun for the kids

Weakness: None

My kids have had this game for a week now and really enjoy playing this title. It is great that they can both play together and complete missions as a team. They really enjoy that the missions follow the movies that they like so much. I would recommend this game to any who likes star wars and / or lego's.
