Nice ShooterStrengths: Fast paced action. Very similar to original game Weakness: Too short I am a big fan of the oriiinal coded arms and I have played every diferrent version. I must say Konami did a nice job porting this game to the PSP. I just wish it was a bit longer. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

FPS + PSP = FPSPStrengths: Great action, tons of items to unlock, some of the best game design on the PSP, randomly generated game levels for millions of possabilities, and one killer soundtrack. Weakness: Controls take a while to get accustomed to. If you are a First Person Shooter fan, this game is for you. Great action combined with unique gameplay makes this whole package a msut buy. Being a portable game makes for a great on-the-go experience. Only hindering fact is learning curve for controls is very high. Definitly worth it! 100% of readers found this review helpful. Coded Arms SucksStrengths: Graphics...box art...thats all... Weakness: controls suck(makes game harder than it should be), randomly generated maps look all the same, slow down when screen is filled with stuff, only use 4/30 of the weapons... most are useless this game would have been great if sony put a second joystick on the PSP, but since it dosnt have one, this game sucks. Randomly generated maps are no fun if they all look alike. there are like only 3 different monsters to kill and only 4 out of the 30 weapons are actually worth using. And the story is really really really dumb. "Im a hacker and im gonna go into cyberspace to get useless codes that i can use for weapons!!!" first of all, you wouldnt even need those weapons if you didnt go into freakin cyberspace in the first place 50% of readers found this review helpful. Coded ArmsStrengths: Frist FPS for the PSP, good graphics, fun gameplay Weakness: Each lvl seems kinda similar to one another and some lvls can look a lil blocky at times. This was the game I was getting very excited about, seeing as I love FPS, this game did what it could, but thats about it. Nothing overly amazing, but it wasn't bad at all. It's a very fun and exciting game, but I do get sick of seeing the same monsters after awhile. If you like FPS this is the game to get. Even for just a rent, you have to try this game out. Coded Arms Review
Coded Arms has stunning graphics, plain and simple. It looks like a console shooter on the PSP. Enemies and bosses are very detailed, and much of the environment is destructible. The guns themselves look absolutely fantastic, with looks tailored to their element and purpose. The animations are smooth and fluid, with special attention paid to the function and handling of the gun. Enemies move... Top

Coded Arms
Coded Arms comes at a wonderful time. Up until now the PSP was without a first-person shooter. It had every genre covered except the most common. By being the first game to fill the FPS void, Coded Arms will impress* gamers with soft (almost glowing) light effects, large monsters, and the sheer joy of running and shooting in a first-person world. *For the first 20 minutes. Coded Arms
Strengths: +Graphics, sound, many different types of weapons, controls are really well done on the PSP for a FPS, and it NEVER ENDS.
Weakness: -Random map generator is not that cool, repetetive, NOT ONLINE!!! :(
Its pretty hard to think of a FPS on the PSP, especially since you dont have that second analog stick. Although Konami did a good job making the buttons work.
The X, Square, Triangle, and Circle buttons are used to look down, left, up, and right. The analog nub is used to move around and R is to shoot. It takes a while to get used to the buttons, but once you get the hand of it you'll be playing like you had to analog nubs.
The graphics and sound are amazing. From how detailed the guns are to the sounds the guns make.
The big downfall to the game is the random map generator. You're probably thinking, "Random map generator? COOL! New maps everytime i play." Well, you thought wrong! All the stages you play all look very very similar. The only thing different are where the doors are and how big or small the rooms are, etc.
I recommend Coded Arms to everyone.
